Ash Longbow and Dated Ash Longbow

I was looking through the market and saw that the Ash longbow is now a lvl 20 something weapon instead of 30 something and was excited that I had the materials to make it.

I figured it was no longer possible to make a dated anything anymore but apparently the materials still create the dated version and not the new one.

Does anyone know how to make the normal Ash Longbow,
And why is Square still letting people make dated gear, I thought it was supposed to slowly fall out of use?

ash composite bow is now the recipe made with antelope hornx1 ash lumberx2 and a mole sinew.

Oh Wow, So they shortened the materials needed by that much. That's nifty.
Does anyone know how to make the Longbow version though? I don't really like composite.

Old recipes will be removed later, but for now both exist side by side.
(except for things like making ingots from nuggets -- those are completely gone)

The number of new recipes is very limited right now and there are no replacements for many types of items.

We're in a transitional period right now, so things are a bit messy.
But you're right, the idea is to slowly phase out dated gear.
