Servers with active RPers?

I made my first character on Faerie just to get a feel for the game, and I really want to make an alt to RP with (on Aether data center). I've asked a few people who've played longer than I have, and I get a different answer each time, so I decided to just make a thread. What servers do you recommend to RP on?

Balmung? Seriously, Balmung is pretty much the player-community designated role-play server - as a result though it is almost permanently locked to new character creation due to being massively overpopulated, although you should be able transfer your character there from another server (I managed to transfer there from Ridill myself without any problems).

I've heard there are much smaller RP communities on other servers, but Balmung is the place to go for RP.

If you're planning on actively RPing on Balmung, this website will be the best place (that I know of) for finding others and FCs.

If I recall correctly, Gilgamesh may be a good option for RP, though I can't say for sure.

Yeah, Balmung and Gilgamesh were the ones I've seen so far, but I don't think my poor computer can handle such crowded servers. For now I'll just focus on Faerie and see if I can find a few dedicated rp friends. Thanks!

There are smaller communities on Lamia and Brynhildr that are LS/FC based - you don't get the "Go anywhere for RP experience" but you do get an RP experience with fairly dedicated individuals. I've tried both and Lamia is very casual and laid back and Brynhildr has a flair for really epic storyline scenarios.

It's not quite as taxing as it may sound. I manage to handle Balmung's activity despite only running a 840M, which is an average card at best.
