But wasn't Freya and the rest already a crossover from another game? Valkyrie Profile, no? Wouldn't their appearance in FFXIV mean it's a crossover event crossing over into a crossover event for a crossover event? O.o'

Don't hold your breath. I've been holding out hope for the FFXIV X PSO2 cross-over ever since both Yoshida and Phantasy Star's producer and director all agreed to the idea in person in a Dengeki interview like two years ago.

It's not even that I have any desire for something out of either part of the cross over, I just want to see how dumb it could be.

I really don't think we need added events for games that have nothing to do with the final fantasy series, let alone FFXIV.

Square Enix owns all the rights to star ocean now as they paid for it to be published under there name tri-ace are just the developers. Original star ocean and star ocean 2 were published by enix in 1996 and 1998, if square wanted to do a crossover event they would have every right to but of course that is IF they want too.

Star Ocean: Till the end of time and the last hope were published by square enix and developed by tri-ace as well.
