Eos is always fine with AST/WHM and she gets a lot of use in savage to effectively allow you to regen the raid while in cleric. We always have Selene for P1 and swap after split. Still, AST should be able to solo all healing until 0.5. With that being said about a potential gap in DPS they really should be picking up their weight.

I prefer not to have to switch fairies mid fight.

I have found that people are bent on comparing the SCH healing play style with other mmos where healing tends to be more simplistic; buff, heal, repeat.

I prefer that method of healing. I also prefer fights that aren't so heavily predictable. Heavily predictable fights is why the current tank meta even works, for example.

I think you missed the bit in the thread where the OP mentioned (1) she was partnered with an AST and double stacking any job is generally not a good idea and (2) she had no real interest in leveling WHM.

Ignore him, he complains more than I do, and that's saying something. I haven't been able to take a thing he says seriously since I first found him on EQ2Flames.

Well, being a sub-par SCH isn't good either. AST and WHM can double stack just fine. The only class that can't really double stack is SCH.

She can either do that, or learn to control her pet/fairy and spam spam spam because that is how the class works i'm afraid.

We'd suggested swapping me to WHM(which I'm leveling anyways, much to my chagrin) but a friend of the raid leader's is absolutely adamant that the healer DPS is better if I stay SCH. Yeah, maybe, but the tank not being dead is more important.

I think we're switching the roster up a bit anyways so I'm not sure what's going on. We got a few folks not showing up. -_-
