    That's an achievement fate though. Those aren't supposed to scale down below a certain difficulty, although the 2.0 ones could usually be handled by 8 people who knew their stuff.

    I think in general, all of the 3.0 fates are affected by the larger hp pools that 3.0 mobs have, which makes finishing any of them more of a challenge in the time allotted.

    I don't know, seems to me like you're unlucky enough to be running Fates with a Fate party stealthing the area. I've had both hard and easy Fates in Heavensward areas and I run as Bard so my output isn't exactly top notch.

    I attempted a few fates when I started HW then went strictly to dungeon running for XP because without a group the fates just take way too long to complete for one person for the amount of XP you get.

    compared to the achievement fates in Churning Mist its practically undooable.

    Would be nice if the FATE's difficulty scaled based on the activity in the other FATEs in the zone rather than just its last appearance. It'd avoid the problem where if a fate train stops for awhile (or logged off, or changed zones, etc), every FATE in that zone is a complete chore to clear for the following hour until the next fate spawn cycle comes along with the lowered attendance taken into effect.

    FATE's do need to be made more appealing. I've yet to see people do any FATE - other than world boss FATE's - in Azyz Lla. I suspect that the new relic weapon quest will bake them into the quest chain purely to get some actual use out of them.

    Problem with FATES at 51+ is unlike the ones before 50 the mobs still have too much HP. The exp/effort is too high in general past 50 because they made the mobs in general too hard. They thought that making the mobs harder to kill would be more of a challenge but they didn't increase the exp to match. They're not so much hard just more annoying its the same with the 51+ dungeons as well. Pre-50 dungeons would give the best part of a level if you were levelling an alt but the 51+ ones give little more than a 1/4 of a level at best. Levelling needs to be more balanced out and I hope 3.1 comes with some fixes for that.

    Hinterlands are great if they are not leveled up... once they get scaled up they are not even very good with a full group. I am fine with fate scaling I just feel the max level for them needs to be dropped down or they need to reset back to lowest with a single fail.

    oh... and those things in the hinterlands that have the stacking debuff are evil. Especially the boss version.
