Buying all the crafted gear would cost a lot, I agree, but you also get dungeon drops - I even had to hire third retainer to store all the "greed" stuff. Even with that I buy stuff on the market board on regular basis and on my server it is a lil bit pricy but affordable.

Giving players gear in fates... not sure if it is a good solution. Maybe if the demand for crafted gear got higher the prices would decrease.

Sastasha could have iLevel of 10. It is better if the players learn it sooner and also they can support low level crafting that way. The gear starts to be a problem as soon as you unlock Halatali imo.

Things like, iLvl 200 healer accessory set to raise the iLvl of level 55 monk just because the main is healer.
That already happened long ago when ilvl/avg ilvl was 1st introduced. Healers rockin tank accessories, dps rockin healer accessories, anything of the appropriate ilvl. They'd get all kinds of defensive when you call em out too lol " wtf, I just speedran brayflox hm like 5x with this gear" no, not healing in all darklight tank accessories you didn't lol

Are we going to forget that you can buy ilv130 gear from vendors prior level 52 and entering Dusk Vigil. They aren't as good as 2.0 endgame ilv130 gear but massively better over the ilv90 gear.

I actually suggested a long time ago that the easiest fix for inappropriate gear just to hit ilvl required is to job lock the accessories BUT wars freaked out on me about it cause apparently if "wars cant use str accessories we're useless"

According to basic economics, higher demand equals higher prices given constant supply. What we would want instead is a higher supply of crafted items. And that would require crafting/gathering to become "fun" for the masses. Good luck. By the by, crafting and gathering would become much less profitable as a byproduct.

As for gear through FATEs - we already do that for lower content to a degree, via company seals which can be exchanged for gear. So a similar (or the same) system can be conveniently used for HW as well.

I don't think that's quite correct - you can get 120 blue gear via tomestones in Mor Dhona (handy if you do MSQ roulette for leveling!) and 115 white gear from vendors in Ishgard. Dusk Vigil starts at 51, so most people generally would want to level there, especially since you get chain boni. You can also upgrade the 120 blue gear to 130, but you need carbontwines for that, which either require hunting or raiding I think. Might be wrong on that one, tho.

As far as the library problem for tanks, if you do all 5 roulettes and centurio hunts, you go from 59 to 60 in 2 days. Just skip the library and who cares who needs clears/levels.

You know, we DO meet the minimum iLv requirements; how else are we able to run them. Also, we have to run dungeons to get gear to increase our iLv. So I need for you to stfu right now.

You can have an i210 lv60 dps in there, with an i140 lv59 tank. Good luck holding those enemies
Won't hold hate, but you'll get a way faster run. Fair trade imo.

Still shouldn't have trouble holding on aoe anyways.

You need me to stfu and carry on, I know...

Honestly I don't know how are you able to run them with clear consciouness. It's even better when the healer gets blamed for your squishiness and lack of dps.

I do agree that you need to run dungeons to increase your item level. You need to run appropriate dungeons for your item level to increase it. If you are too lazy to do that then there is crafted gear. Simple. No need to be hindrance for nobody.

That's it. I believe that the supply would increase if the demand got higher. Right now the gear is not in much demand as players exploit the carry train to gear up.

Just let them know they can buy ilv120 gear from mor dhona using poetics, which are so easy to get now.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
