Square Enix has given up on real gameplay

SE has given up on the idea that gameplay is BY NECESSITY equal to the mindless repetition of simple, monotonous tasks that do not enhance a person's enjoyment or ability for skillful play. I don't consider that de-evolution in terms of MMOs as a whole. At all.

If you need to play out the same battle 2000 times before you move onto the next challenge, you keep that nose to the grindstone you brave, determined.... slow, slow, person you.

If someone is willing to put the time into PLing you, you're worth it to them for some reason. No one's just going to go out and grind noobs for fun. They have to think you have potential, value, or gil if they're going to let you speed to taking part in content with them - and if you have those things to offer the community, you deserve it.
