Dedicated r50 Player Seeking Endgame LS

Hello everyone, I've been playing the game since open beta and have probably met a few people that hang around on here. Things are finally coming to fruition with the introduction of some quality end game content and I'd like to find an LS that is a little more focused around end game content and grinding out jobs.

Since launch, I've belonged to Counting Sheep, Vanadiel Legion (Kind of merged into Public Enemies as players stopped playing due to lack of interest), and the Immortals (Has gone through several name changes and was most recently Public Enemies). All of these are fine LS's but not exactly a place I felt 100% in alignment with the culture of the LS.

I have fun playing for the most part, but fun for me is more achievement based and less casual play social based. I like to level up, I like to acquire that shiny new item, and I like to beat the bad guy without spending hours upon hours failing beforehand. I accomplish these goals by doing research on how much sp mobs, leves, behests, etc. provide after each update so I can determine the most efficient way to utilize my time. I acquire shiny new items and beat the bad guy by utilizing voice communication tools to better strategize with players and communicate with LS members to determine the best way to go about doing things. I like to read and research opinions as they become available through forums and web sites as well.

I work full-time and have a family too. I can't devote hours upon hours to gameplay, but when I do play I like to get stuff done. I dislike logging on for a couple of hours and not making some real progress towards that next rank or acquiring a new item or finishing a quest.

Currently, Magic Emperor (my main) is a 50 GLD and 50 LNC. I'm in the process of raising CON to 50 (currently 40), and have all other combat classes at levels I desired for traits and abilities. 38 CON, 28 MRD, 22 PUG, 22 ARC.

I dual box as well and Yellowcar Queen is currently a 50 THM, 40 CON (currently raising to 50). She also has combat classes at levels I desired for traits and abilities. 20 PUG, 20 LNC, 20 ARC. Originally my girlfriend was going to play this character, but she lost interest and I continued to level the character. It's handy having a second character around and I level faster for it.

In previous LSs I've contributed by running leve parties, grinding parties, and organizing notorious monster runs. I haven't done so after patch 1.18 but prior to the patch I powerleveled quite a few folks in Nawawa Mines to help them get a few jobs from 1 - 20 in a hurry (1 hr and 30 min is what it took generally). I've tried to answer questions when possible, but I tend to ignore some questions that folks should go read for themselves. "What did the patch change?" ... That one tends to irritate me a bit so I keep my mouth shut when I hear it. Ask me how the patch adjusted sp values for levequests and I'll talk for quite awhile because that's a genuine question that needs some research done. I do consider myself to be usually helpful.

I'm not looking for any LS to join at this point. I'm looking for an LS that appreciates a more mature and serious player and encourages research and debate over game mechanics and strategies. I'd prefer an LS with a good set of rules for raids that include mandatory voice chat and a no chatter policy while at critcal points of the raid. I'd like an LS that regularly grinds sp and does leves together. An LS that realizes that more than 1 group is generally going to be required for these types of things and makes an effort to help organize stuff for all ranks and timezones by either doing it themselves or designating others and letting folks know who to get in touch with.

In short "I feel i'm too good for the linkshells I mentioned, please can someone help me?" Yet a player than could barely listen to basic instruction and had an attitude problem back in december isnt the best. Still what I hear is you have been given a shell to run so maybe you are happy now.

I decided to reply with a bit more after thinking about Alco's comment.

#1 Counting Sheep is the only LS Ive intentionally left due to a falling out with 1 member who happened to be a junior officer and I didnt think I was treated fairly over the incident.
#2 Vanadiel Legion & The Remnants (in all its versions) are fantastic LSs, but many of the members quit the game due to boredom and all of the other folks joined up with Hektor Warfield and Starkindler Titan in a merger LS to keep folks connected that still wanted to be in the same LS together. Sadly, more folks have left due to a lack of interest and such. Real good folks, real good times.

#3 When does leaving an LS imply that the person harbors any ill will towards the LS or its members? Or that the person "Thinks they are better than the folks he's leaving behind?" Oh wait it doesn't. Players are free to try different linkshells, clans, guilds, whatever you want to call em because we're different folks and not all LSs are the same either.

Your statement backs up the very reason why I left Counting Sheep. Apparently you didn't think much of me and so I left to find a better mesh for myself. That's what a mature player does. Altercations occur. I decided I didn't want to be in an LS with that player when he was an officer. I destroyed my pearl and didn't say a negative word to anyone or do a big rant on the forums.

Your welcome to your opinion Alco, but to me you just kinda reinforce that I made the right choice. It just seems kinda petty to take the time to take a jab at someone on a forum that is trying to find a better fit for themselves. Counting Sheep had many very nice people, but it just wasn't for me.

Raze you are seriously an idiot. Why would you continually refer people to an LS you are not a member of, especially when I have told you multiple times, that we are full and are not recruiting?

If your intention to to make yourself look like a jackass, well, job well done! The only thing you are doing is causing headaches for your fellow players and giving your own shell, Ion Drift, a bad name.

Well Magic, I can relate to your experience with Linkshells. I decided to make my own since I couldn't find what I was seeking elsewhere. I'm a player with a similar mentality. I enjoy the end game portion of the MMO. I wish I could say that my linkshell is what you're looking for but it definitely is not at this point. Finding enough good players to get going in this game is proving to be quite difficult. The ones I have found .. well lets say that most don't have the time or motivation to participate in end game. (hell, many of them don't even understand traditional end game) I guess, for now, the best thing we can do is continue to advance our classes to make ourselves that much better. Maybe you'll still be around / available when I manage to get my end game ls going. If I could find just 10 players that describe themselves the way you do, we would all have our problems solved, lol. Anyway, Drive On and Best of luck!
