How we can fix the Economy

This is what the game needs more of! Our LS Otogi Bank has a ton of crafters and are already attempting to do this as well. I'm even putting Level 1-20 gear up for leses than the NPC Guild prices as even those are crazy high!

We have seen prices in quite a few things begin to drop and I'm using it to help low level players find gear at a decent price since most of the items don't exist or to bring the prices down.

Try checking the LL wards for cheap gear as I will start churning out higher rank gear for cheap (along with lower gear on request.) I'm on-board with the movement but unionizing, while done with good intentions, ultimately creates a greater evil - history shows us this.

Great concept and keep an eye out in LL for shouts and cheap gear in the wards.

Thank goodness somebody else agrees. As with all things, a great idea got screwed over by dirty hippies.

On-topic, I been driving down prices rapidly in Uldah and suggest we make a concerted effort to start stocking LL and Gridania. If we don't branch out our efforts, Uldah will continue to be absurdly overcrowded and overpriced.

Also very open to ideas on how to drive down materia prices, as well.

And yes, we also have the problem of sellers setting prices which the players who use that gear/material at the specific rank cannot afford. Some are even ridiculously priced which is more expensive than NPC selling price.
In short, new players in our server will have to complete leves at least for 20 times to buy an single item, in case that he/she doesn't sell anything.

I'll certainly join this act if you're planning to make it game-wide.

And my general rule for setting price for gears is level x 1000 of the item.

If the same thing is going on on your or any other server for that matter...i say impliment it there as well. People should be picking servers imo for reasons such as "well i have a ton of friends on server X or Y" or "I hear besaid is an RP server i'd like to try RP out." Not "well i know a red colbalt cuirass is like 3 mil on server X...on Y it's half that." even trying to type that made me cringe. If alot of people on other servers started it too, who knows maybe a trend will start. the pricing on alot of the servers is just outlandish, and together let's say if people from the different servers got a dialouge going about what seems reasonable i'm sure the prices could be cost effective without killing new players and not encouraging new subs...or having people who have played for the past year from pouring out tons of money and thinking the only way to recoup is to price through the roof..and in essence continuing the cycle. i imagine we could even start a thread on it in general topics to keep in contact...

As many of you have noticed, the economy is FFXIV has been absolutely horrific and continues to grow more so with this new patch. This is especially bad for new players which are now arriving in truck loads.

This is the funniest thing I've read in ages.
