Guys wearing female clothing no thanks.
dresses no, panties no, bathing suits no. bra NO
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
IF you wanna wear a kilt I don't care but other than those up above I wrote down hell no.
Make a female character you get guys and girls stuff. Problem solved.
Guy characters aren't meant to wear that stuff and this isn't real life its a MMO SE's world of fantasy their vision and don't change it because you want to do something awkward and you know what I mean aka nasty stuff, so don't compare drag in gaming don't bring up cloud dressing up like one and detective quest doing it.
I think the game is just fine the way they have been going, its nothing against anyone if that's who you are that's cool have fun with it but don't force that upon the ones who don't want it.

Too girly.
That consensus told us that most of the characters are females.
I want more trench coats. Trench coats are manly, right? Casters don't get any trench coats
Do not get me started on the AST gear. I actually switched to female for a while so i'd look good in that gear, because it compliments a female form, it's given artificial curves to make females look extra feminine, while it looks extremely awkward on male bodies.Basically the problem with the gear is the fact that it's mostly all unisex and the problem with this games unisex gear is that they look good on female bodies. Not on males imo. Most of all of the magic gear is completely feminine but could be worn on males. Eso AST Dres-...er I mean Coat* anyone? Eso WHM coat that was admitted by developers to be made off of a female character's coat in FF1 anyone? Orthodox magic chest piece anyone? *begins to sweat*. Eso Monk chest piece? Oh heavens. Eso Summoner chest piece? Starlight Gear?(Ok the Devs really trashed males with this)
Is this okay? I can look tough with this?
This was the only pic of Orthodox gear I could find that was big and clear. Sadly, I couldn't find a pic of a male in it. Gee I wonder why?
Tell me this is totally fine.

Ok to be unisex?
Need more pics?
What they should have done was change the shawl a little bit so it makes the shoulders appear broader instead of smaller (perhaps turning it into a large scarf), re-contour the abdominal area so it's not so curvy looking (perhaps just redesigning the chest area altogether, it's built to make cleavage look better, but males don't have cleavage), shorten the skirt area so it's more of an open kilt, and change the bell-bottom shape of the pants.

So we'll have people cosplaying as Castiel ingame?I want more trench coats. Casters don't get any trench coats
I honestly don't think its alot of the gear "design" so much as form. Alot of the outfits in the game just don't compliment the male form in a very western fashion. To be honest alot of the game models in general are very slight with the exception of highlander hyur and roegaydn males. The ratios of chest and shoulder size to the waist and size of the gluts/quadriceps is pretty small when put next to the classical western hero forms.
I don't know that it's the clothes so much as the game models themselves. Add to that the fact that alot, and i mean ALOT, of the gear in the game has an extensive amount of flair to it and it speaks to more trendy and dare I say, more metrosexual dressing tendencies.
These dressing tendencies are extremely popular in asian countries where the standard of beauty in men is much closer to feminine than in the western US.
Plus Beards.... our beard options SUCK
