Mm, makes sense why I'm not familiar with it then. I know people doing pilot training (heli's and jets), artillery training, swo, subs, carriers, and intelligence. But none in air defense xDthere is one in south korea, cant remember name of it, but majority of the military units there participate. there is also a few that are UN and local military forces, like germany as well (stationed in both areas at one point in my career) but most of them are the non special units, like regular infantry, communications, field artillery. one of the ones in korea, air force, infantry, and air defense artillery all participate in. i was in an air defense unit and ours lasted 6 weeks while i was there.
2 in Japan right now and 1 just went from Hawaii to Oklahoma for artillery for army (which ironically one of our mids who went marines is stationed there too). All others are in the states atm.

I think i see a solution. Unsub and lose your house instantly. This way you can sell ahead of time, getting back 100% of what you think its worth. If you want to keep your stuff, go inactive and fund the game, you want to drain resources? You gotta pay. Cant afford the 10quid a month while your pc/console is broke? Id re evaluate your monetary priorities before blowing it on entertainment
I'd accept that except for the word "instantly". The game doesn't tell us our subscription status, so the only way I know when a sub fee is due is that the next time I go to log on I can't. (It's weird, the character selection screen gives us useless info about our veteran reward status instead of actual useful info about our subscription.) At that point I go to my computer, log into MogStation, buy another three to six months worth, and come back and log into the game. I don't think it's ever lapsed for more than a day or two before I noticed, but there should probably be a couple weeks leeway for people whose subscription lapsed unintentionally to have a chance to put in their next payment.I think i see a solution. i would say give a person at least 30 days, in some cases, there are just a series of unseen unfortunate events, at least this will give people a chance. (car and ps4 break down and in between jobs, like starting a new one, or even lost/stolen credit/debit cards) but yea, i do agree with that.I think i see a solution. but worst case scenario, if they do take your house, and you have an active sub, you should be guaranteed your items and 100% of your gil. inability to log in may not always be your fault, and its clear to some extent they will try to log in later

Gil often is not much the trouble, the trouble is the lost of all the rare/expensive items that are lost on removal. Those stuff only worth often 3 or 4 times the whole plot price, and all the trouble we had get through to get them. That effort is lost and at least for me would be just enough cause to left the game forever.
45 days is too short time for that painfull and big loose specially because im subscribe in periods of 90 days. If i were subscribed by 30 days it would be fair.
If there were just the plot land lost but you keep ALL the items (gil of the land doesnt matter) it werent troublesome and i would suggest 7 or 15 days time, as it would be matter of just get another plot.
People take breaks. Typical MMO hiatus lengths are 1-3 months long, from my observation. That doesn't mean they've quit the game and will never return. They're just taking a break. They deserve to keep all the progress they've had, not come back to find their house pulled and stripped and not even getting back all of their decor.
Chiming in with agreement with the OP. The decay timer is a terrible idea on its own, but 45 days is an awful timer. It needs to be longer.
