Forced server move from Ragnarok

It is looking like lag for us in Australia is here to stay so we will have no choice but to find a new server. I have both a FC house and personel house and would like some info on what this will mean.
Can I assume that the FC chest needs to be emptied before the move?
Will the items my retainers have for sale be moved with them?
I guess I will have to move all housing items out too?
And let me guess, SE is not going to give us the gill back on the houses or plots even though they are the ones who have forced, and I mean forced this on us since no gaming company in the world cares about us down here?

Unfortunately it means you'll have to relinquish the personal house (or try and sell the trashing rights to someone else) and you have to leave the free company before it'll even let you move. The FC owner could sell the FC (and house) to someone if desired though, that's a way to get quick money if you can find a buyer.

Yes and no. You can't move a free company across server so if you want to take the items with the individual(s), so then yes you'll have to empty the chest. But then you'll have to create the FC again on the new server which unfortunately will start at level 1 again Each person would naturally have to do their own world transfer/costs too

Will the items my retainers have for sale be moved with them?

It won't let you move if your retainers have anything for sale, you have to stop them selling things first. Items held in the retainers can be carried across though, however there is a severe gil limitation, 1 million per character and 100,000 per retainer. Anything more is lost.

Those you can pick up, yes. Sadly not all items can be picked up.

I'm afraid not. With 3.1 the house demolishing is being introduced and owners of the FC or personal house will get 80% when it gets demolished, but it requires not going into the house for 45 days (from the point 3.1 launches) and then you only get 80% of the money you paid back (better than nothing though!). You'd have to wait 45 days though and lock everyone out the FC house so no one can accidentally go in it and that's from 3.1 so that's like end of December.

If none of the gaming companies don't care about that section of the world hows does 1 more added to the list mean they are forcing you to do anything.

It sucks you have lag but what can you do, to help alleviate the loses of moving your whole FC to a new server

FC Wise:
* Sell House/Plot to someone on the server (SE will not give you the gil back due to a server transfer - reason doesn't matter)
* Remove what items you can if you want to take them with you, clean out chest
* Transfer FC to new house buyer if they want it, if not give away or destroy it

Player:
* Remove all items off Market Board
* Sell Personal House/plot to someone on server

There is a full list of things that need to be done for a player transfer and wont list them all as they are on the Mog Station platform. Check to see if there is still a gil restriction when transferring to a new server.

It's not just Oz - I'm in exactly the same situation here, and support essentially just told me to go away. The best suggestion they could muster was switching DNS servers. Because that'll make a difference when their first hop is the worst carrier in Europe? o_0

Definitely a case of 'acceptable collateral.' For people like us, all of these transfer limitations should be waved. It's wrong to apply them to people who have been moved with no choice.

I'm on Malboro. Last night, we had hella lag when we were farming old Coils. My Mudra lag was off the chain (setting up and activating Suiton but Raiton casts).

In T9 earlier, we had to quit because the debuffs were not displaying on us until like 1 tick left (that Lightning debuff, though). In T5, the Divebombs were killer. I logged off and played Batman: Arkham Knight.

Well, sadly this is no wonder.
The amount of absolutely stupid laws (about games) you guys have down there will always make game companies think twice whether they will even publish there, let alone do anything more after they had to invest ridiculous amounts of extra funds to even get their games on the AUS market.
