    Agreed with Fayette having the option to do low level leves to get certain mat rewards is handy, there is nothing stopping them offering 8 leves within each of the following class ranges. 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50

    @ AamesxDavid, so you would rather pick up leves and run around to multiple camps that make no sense and waste time.

    Than airship/teleport to a city, pick up the leves at the relevant guild and hand them back in at the same guild. (so much for convenience)

    So either all leves will be done solo, or the party will consist of all the same two classes. Is that supposed to be a good thing?
    Guildleves where changed to be mainly solo content, Yoshi-p's words not mind, what difference does it matter if i had a party of lancers and conjurers anyway, the leve would get done regardless.

    I completely agree with this, I'd love it if this happened. However, it flies in the face of everything you've said up to now. After all, by your logic, why is someone buying a fishing rod in Ul'dah in the first place? The guild isn't there, so they have no business fishing in that area. They should know that fishermen go to Limsa Lominsa, end of story. You see, I love the above idea because it's all about making things more accessible, and I'm all for that. And it's the same reason I disagree with everything else - when it comes to leves, you don't like that universal access, and I just don't understand why.
    As of patch 1.19 you can now buy fishing gear in the fishing guild as with any other guild of choice.

    You don't want things to be accessible you want things to be easy there is a big difference.

    I think the problem is that you're taking the FFXI approach to this issue - nerf everything until people play the way you want them to

    I agree with those who want to keep lower level leve option available for even the higher level crafters. I definitely think that any player should be able to accept leves beneath their level if desired (for guild marks, rewards etc). The imbalance of the number of leves offered among the crafts (and those does include DoL gathering skills) absolutely needs to be addressed as well. You should also always be able to choose leves within your current level range, and not have the highest offered in a city often many levels below your level (which currently happens a lot.)

    I am hoping the issue with crafting old recipes will be addressed soon as well. I have noticed a large decrease in the experience points awarded from most of the old recipes - perhaps the level to craft these recipes was lowered, but they remain in the leves based on their previous level? In any case, it is annoying to keep crafting with the old warning message "your leather skill is not high enough to craft this item" when I am crafting a weaving leve.

    That's really weird, because I don't remember saying that. I simply said that leves should be available in all cities for all crafts.. just because the way that's done now is through arbitrary camps, doesn't mean that's the only way it can be done. I don't think you should have to run all over just to hand in leves the same way I don't think you should have to visit each city just to do different leves.

    It's not a matter of being able to finish the leve or not, it's about having the option to party, and make it worthwhile for everyone. Why can I never leve-link with my archer friend as a thaumaturge? Just because our guild's cities don't match? Like I said, it's just segregating people, and MMOs shouldn't do that, solo-oriented content or not.

    ...How does a weaving leve in Gridania make it easier than one exclusive to Ul'dah? Again, all I'm arguing for is having leves accessible in all cities for each class.. the same way it is now, just with more leves available. How you find that to be anything other than a matter of accessibility is just.. baffling.

    I wish we could get a Dev response on this because this doesn't just effect a small amount of the population. We need more leves to do in the L30-50 range for all DoH and more L1-50 for DoL. I should be able to pick up 8 leves in whatever level range I am in even if I have to travel to the other cities to fill it up to 8/8.

    Well I had no idea there was an actual legitimate reason for crafters to do lower rank leves. At that point then, there just needs to be a static amount of leves for each level range available. You should be guaranteed at least 2-4 for your level range on any given reset, otherwise it's just obnoxious.

    In fact, I'd argue that a major reason that even more people aren't affected is the fact that they give up trying to level their crafts due, at least in part, to this. The battle system itself is already more intricate and exciting than the crafting and gathering systems, a lack of leves could easily be the breaking point for many players.

    Agreed Aames! After grinding my Weaver in between my locals, I have now become tired of the grind. I enjoy crafting immensely and I enjoy doing my locals but with everything in game and tired of having to get enough materials on me to grind and make a dent, I prefer to just do my daily locals then move onto something else. I just wish I had enough locals in my range to make the 8/8 complete and not have to take the lower level leves unless I wanted the materials they offered for reward or have to go back and forth 7 times just to do 8/8 L40 leves for Alchemy :/

    Wow - the patch 19.a is already here today /faints

    They did address some levequest issues, but nothing mentioned in this thread seems to have been covered thus far in the patch. I guess we can hope for the next patch then.

    Yeah, the Patch is here! Sadly we have yet to hear anything yet about this issue. I'm sure the community reps have read the thread and are waiting for an official Dev response to let us know if they will be addressing this issue soon or have no plans to add new local leves.

    Let us cross our fingers and hope we get a response soon ^^
