Move feature in 3.1?

Anyone know if this is still coming? It's sorta important for companies looking to get a larger house.

That would assume the feature allows you to "move" to a larger plot. Not sure how that would work.

Moving isn't really a thing in this game. There's nothing to promote real estate investment or anything to support the concept of a "starter house" that lets players buy a house, spend a couple years in it, and then sell it for more money than you paid for it originally (in fact its outright illegal).

You might get equal money if you can "exchange" the house for another one, but there's no system for that. For now, use your existing house to do the airships and FC crafts until the patch htis. Hopefully you have enough or a way to make money until Christmas so nobody uses the House. You can then abandon the house and get that lump of cash to buy a new fc house for you when the market turns.

Otherwise, transfer all your fc members to a new FC and remove the teleport aetheryte (just so everyone gets the message). Get the 80% back on the house and use it to buy your new one when the houses start getting repo'ed on Christmas. If they add a feature for FCs to trade houses immediately for an upgrade, you're still at a good spot. Otherwise you're praying for SE to make add this feature before Christmas (45 days after Nov 10).

it is still coming but it was never set for 3.1.

they said very definitively that this system will be added and it will be added before they implement a new housing zone (a completely new zone, not new wards).

the main reason is so FC's don't lose Airship progress, which they would do if they do any of the things you suggested.

Hmm, that's fine then. I was speaking with the impression that the OP wanted to move ASAP to a large or medium house. If that's the case, you can probably move the timeline a little to be within 45 days of the next housing patch.

My suggestion is something to consider on the off-chance that promised moving feature may not be coming in time for whatever house it is they want. Yes, you lose a lot of airships and vanity items by abandoning a house, but those can be recovered relatively easily. Who knows when another large house will come on the market?

Nah. I was just asking if the announced move feature was coming in 3.1 still. They had mentioned it was part of their plan months ago but today's notice said nothing about it.

Its coming we just don't know when. They said in the order of things..

Reclaim
Housing Server Tweaks ( to help with the moving and furnishing patches )
Increased Furnishing Limits
FC Housing Moving Options ( They said nothing about Personal housing moving options I believe. Only FC )
New Wards & Ishgard

So look for it sometime after we get new furnishings limitations, and before Ishgard District. I know they wanted it in before then so people had the option to move once they dropped the new district. Hopefully all goes as planned.

i don't recall them differentiating moving for FC only, it was just moving plots in general.

missing the Personal House Sharing on your list which is supposed to be 3.1.

Nope. They need to make tweaks to the housing servers to make it possible.
