I was meddling with it too but as I am on ps4 it didnt help. I tunneled my connection through laptop on which I had WTFast running but I didnt see any difference.

The site you were tunneling to may been still routing through a troubled segment...or you may have issues closer to home that are physically causing issues that won't go away even with an encrypted tunnel in place.

From the laptop running the VPN, compare a trace to neolobby06.ffxiv.com both with and without the VPN. If they are both using telia to get to KDDI, that may explain one of those possibilities. Try tunneling to another location to see if it changes to using Level3 or otherwise shows a cleaner trace and then try shooting the console through ICS on the laptop again using that other tunnel.

Today I had no fps lag at all, so dunno maybe they fixed it in Poland?

I take that back, tried it without Wtfast and there were lag spikes as crazy, guess I just have to run it with it now.
