I once was going to joke with my FC by saying,
"I want to queue up for my EX roulette but I'm cooking dinner atm and it'll be done in the next 10 minutes, oh the hardships of tank insta-queues."
Somehow I ended up typing /sh instead of /fc, I was in Mor Dhona at the time. Not a lot of happy DPS that day.
My group was talking about jobs and I replied "I'd be a stripper but as a guy I'm not hot enough for that." Turned out that wasn't exactly in the group chat...only in a public area surrounded by people. xD

The worst I ever done wasn't really an MT. We were being naughty and goofing off at one of the towers in Coerthas and we didn't think the say and emote chat would/could be heard from the bottom. So we were dirty talking to each other thinking nobody could hear us when suddenly 10 people showed up to the top of the tower saying things like busted and taking screen shots and posting it on reddit.
I mean, we were together IRL, so we didn't really care that we were caught. But the fact they posted screen shots of us on reddit made me laugh so hard.
I make up things to MT all the time, because I want to make people laugh and also so I can pretend I've got someone else to talk to.
I was complaining once to a friend about some people (a few officers included) in a former FC. While /telling him, the FC leader said something in FC chat and the game had me click his name instead of my friend's and I didn't notice.
I sent the complaints to him accidentally. Luckily he was in a dungeon, so it didn't go through. That momentary panic though....

Probably the most embarrassing for me was I accidentally hit a macro that I had left on my hotbar in which I had saved the personalized vows for my wedding instead of Shield Swipe - even worse was that at that time I had disabled shouts to cut back on RMT.... hence I accidentally ended up shouting out to the entire Northern Thanalan zone how much I loved my bf.![]()
When I realized this, I just about collapsed into a black hole of embarrassment, and utterly mortified, quickly returned to my FC house, not wanting to see what the response was. My bf had stuck around there though and told me that apart from one guy who responded sarcastically (and was quickly booed by everyone), apart from a bit of harmless giggling, was "Aww that was rather sweet actually." Needless to say, I very quickly removed that macro from my hotbar (I'd only left it on there as I'm sentimental about things like that).
Funnily enough, my boyfriend had an equally embarrassing mt unrelated to that in which he tried sending a "I love you" to me via /tell < r >, unfortunately a gilseller sent a RMT message that exact moment he tried sending the message to me, meaning the RMT got an "I love you" in reply.Surprisingly the gilseller then responded with something like "... That's nice, now BUY SOME GIL!" (This was before Heavensward when RMT tells were still common on Balmung).
Needless to say, my bf quickly called a GM and blacklisted the RMT in question - the GM had a chuckle about it and said he would take it from there.

I've had entire conversations end up half going to RMT who get in my reply list.![]()

Reminds me of a time when a friend was play flirting with me in a tell and accidentally said "Things I would do to you ;D " into our LS instead. I had to cover her butt and say in LS "Please do not eat my Chocobo!" Everybody lol'd except a for few.....a few that possibly knew it was meant for somebody and not the chocobo....I KNOW THAT THEY KNEW! D: Anyhow she tell'd me back with "Ooops lol. ;D"

I've talked about this experience in the past. I had my in-game husband/friend crafting some stuff with his BSM. So I get close to him and tell him "XXX, why don't you temper my p***y". I sent that message in the hunting LS I was leader. Needless to say, I got nuked by some naughty tells and some friends just spamming "LOL". Then he received some tells about it. I wanted to die asap. He wanted to as well.
Later on, a risky MT. I was in a WoD with a friend. So I was all cocky about my DPS being on top of the raid. So, one friend asked me about our DPS in our LS and I copy pasted it right in party chat. So, naturally, some anti-thing members where like "OOOH WHAT ARE THESE NUMBERS; M'LADY *takes fedora off*". I just replied "Random numbers, move on soldier". I was sweating bullets.
I had several mature rated MTs. LS, FC, /say. I was known as the "Queen of the MTs". I find it hilarious now, but omg...
