Garlean Empire "Extreme Private Chamber Make Over" Contest

The Garlean Empire 19th Legatus is hosting another special event for all fellow imperial soldiers. Due to his majesty's visit to Eorzea, the 19th Legatus must prepare itself to welcome the Emporer. We must make sure that his highness will approve of our current operation, this include all individual members' private chambers. Thus, in order to please his majesty's taste, the 19th Legatus is having a best design Private Chamber contest!

The contest is seeking each soldier's creativity, balance, and wow factor! Make the best designer win!

From this contest, there are a total of 5 individual categories, with a winner from each category. Furthermore, there will be a total of 3 grand prize winners. Each category winner and grand prize winner will receive honorable rewards from the Empire!

1st Place - Best of the Best Medal - win and receive 10 million (10,000,000) gil

2nd Place - Glamour Galore Medal - win and receive 5 million (5,000,000) gil

3rd Place - Neat and Tighty Medal - win and receive 3 million (3,000,000) gil

Winner of each Category - win and receive 1 million (1,000,000) gil

Participating member of the contest can only win 1 grand prize reward. However, each category prize can be won multiple times by an individual participant. Thus, there is a change to win a total of 15 million (15,000,000) gil from this contest!

1) Category One - Each chamber will be judged by the current Legatus of our unit, Lance Gustav. The individual contestant will be given a points of 1 to 5. 1 being the lowest, and 5 being the highest. 1 Private chamber will be picked (regarless of accumulated points) from the rest as the winner of this category. (Hint: Lance likes unique and unusual styles)

2) Category Two - Each chamber will be judged by the current Tribunus of our unit, Macy May. The individual contestant will be given a points of 1 to 5. 1 being the lowest, and 5 being the highest. 1 Private chamber will be picked (regarless of accumulated points) from the rest as the winner of this category. (Hint: Macy likes clean and neat presentations)

3) Category Three - Each chamber will be judged by mystery judge from outside of our company. The individual contestant will be given a points of 1 to 5. 1 being the lowest, and 5 being the highest. 1 Private chamber will be picked (regarless of accumulated points) from the rest as the winner of this category. (Hint: This will be a wild card category)

4) Category Four - Each chamber will be judged by each participant of the contest. Each contestant may cast 1 point to vote for each other's private chamber. You may only vote on one private chamber that you like best. If participant cast a vote, they will receive 3 bonus point for their own chamber in this category. If they do not cast a vote, they will not receive the bonus point for themselves. Individual(s) with the highest points will be the winner of this category. Multiple winners will be sharing the prize of this category.

5) Category Five - Each chamber will be judged by the FF14 community. Screenshot and video will be posted on this forum and we will ask the community to vote on which chamber they like. There will be no multiple voting and each vote will receive only 1 point. Member with the highest points will be the winner. You may vote for yourself on this forum. Multiple winners will be sharing the prize of this category. (A point cap might be implemented if cheating is suspected)

December 1, 2015 - All chambers must be unlocked and presented for the public.

December 8, 2015 - Deadline for contest submission. All contestant must submit their entry on this forum under this thread. Each contestant must include a NAME for their private chamber and a SCREENSHOT (can have more than one) of their private chamber. (If you need assistant with submitting the entry, other members of the FC may submit it on your behave.) No more contestant will be allowed after this date.

December 15, 2015 - Category Five online forum thread will be open for the community to vote.

December 18, 2015 - Judging will begin and Category Four votes will be turned in.

December 28, 2015 - Deadline for Category Four votes and the end for Category Five votes.

January 1, 2016 - Winner will be announced and prizes will be handed out.

1) Only Cactuar World, Garlean Empire free company member can participate.

2) Members must post a screenshot of their private chamber and a name of their private chamber under this thread in order to be eligible for this contest.

3) Only one grand prize winner will be allowed per one member. Grand prize winner is proclaimed by tallying the total points each individual received from each category. The contest with the most points will be the winner.

4) Multiple Category winner can be given to one member.

5) Late entry will not be accepted.

6) If cheating or sabotage is found, then the contestant will be disqualified.

Why are you posting this here?
Our free company uses the SE forum and lodestone as our website. It is more convenient for our members to use this forum to socialize rather than to create a new website/forum in which they will have to sign up for and is in term is additional burden.


Why don't you post this in your recruitment thread?
Can't change the title, and all the content that is already in our recruitment thread will be jumbled up with this. The Empire rather keep everything clean to avoid confusion.


Why only Cactuar World?
Our free company is resided in Cactuar World.


Why only Garlean Empire members can participate?
Only FC members can create FC private chambers. We are not going to raid other FC's private chamber to judge their design. That's the end of that.


I am not a member of the Garlean Empire free company, what do I need to do to participate in this event?
Simple. Join the army. Again: Be all you can be, Army Strong! blah blah blah.

Why must I post a screenshot on the forum?
This is multiple category judging. You can't be judged by the community if they can't see your private chamber.


Why must I post a name along with my screenshot?
So that we can differentiate between contestant. Names are harder to remember.


What if I don't have a computer and uses PS3 or 4?
Use a cellphone to post then. But also, the person who post the screenshot DOES NOT have to be the winner. Ask another member to examine your chamber and take a screenshot to post it on the thread.


I'm poor, I don't think I can afford a private chamber?
You still have lots of time. Private Chamber only cost 300,000 gil. We have free furniture in the FC storage that members are welcome to use at any time.


There is no way I will win anything, other members are super rich and they have expensive furniture!
We are not looking for who has the most expensive attires. This contest is judge creativity and uniqueness. That's why there are many categories. Having expensive furniture doesn't guarantee a winner.


Darn, there are some furniture I want but I can't craft them, what should I do?
We have many master crafter in the FC. They are all the way to 2 stars and can craft anything. Ask the FC to craft any furniture you like and we will do it.


Can I use company credit to buy a furniture I want?
You can. However, if our company credit are low then we might stop for a bit to earn some credits back.

Can I still participate if I miss the deadline?
No. Deadlines are deadlines. If you miss it, then you missed it.


Mwahaha I can exploit this. I'm going to be sneaky, join the Garlean Empire, win the reward, and then leave.
We know where you live! You can't hide from the Empire! Deserters shall be captured, feathered, and shot! Actually, no. Garlean Empire is drama free. The army currently has an open house enlistment, but it won't be like this forever. Even though the above question/situation sound shady, the Empire will condone it. The winners will be announced on the forum. People will know who you are. The Empire wants to build and manipulate a wonderful community with all Eorzeans on Cactuar before we enslave and conquer you. So with that being said, members are not obligated to stay with the Empire even if they win the reward. However, future Garlean Empire event participation may be subjected for analyze.


Why is there only 1 grand prize winner?
There are 3 grand prizes, and each will have 1 winner. No grand prize rewards will be shared by 2 member.


What about the category prizes, can they be shared?
Yes they can. Also one member can win a grand prize reward and win multiple category reward at the same time.
