All right, what do you guys think? like this if so. I would like a hole zone underground like FFIV with dwarfs that say Rally-ho. Large caverns with everything that happen in normal zones plus maybe more. Popable NM'S maybe.

This one for no.
This one for explain what you saying.
yeah sorry about that.
As the current combat system's limitations stand, there is no feasible way to make this outside of a instance.
One of the problems stems from the maximum nuber of targets per one ability. One can effectively zerg fest a mob and burn it down, while it can only hit a section of the mob with its attacks. As long as this is occuring, any boss encounter in the dungeon can be destroyed by throwing enough bodies at it.
I hope they have found a way around this with the islands, or that they'll address this in the future, as its a real limitation that is the reason behind hunt mobs being mostly helpless targets, when they should be tough.

I believe Yoshi P. mentioned that the Island Exploration will be instanced. It will allow multiple groups to enter into the same instance, so hopefully there is a maximum player number established to prevent the zerg fest that plagues the current hunt model. As the current combat system's limitations stand, there is no feasible way to make this outside of a instance.

I sure hope they fix the instancing so you don't get separated from your party like at the start of 3.0.
I long for open world content (pvp, dungeons, bosses etc) to come back to MMORPG's in a big way. It adds so many layers to gameplay that is basically creates new content without even realizing it. MMORPG's are (read: were) unique to me in that a lot of content, story and memories were created by the players actions in the open world. Even the many downfalls of this style of gameplay end up creating their own unique fun.
Ok, forget I mentioned it. lol No open world dungeons then.
I wouldn't mind open world dungeons if they were made and balanced for lets say 100 players. If more entered, they would get into a new instance.
It isn't pure open world dungeon as it would be still separated into small channels, but making one instance for whole server isn't obviously possible anymore without getting pure zergfest. You would still enter the dungeon normally trough map, you would still encounter other parties and will be able to compete or cooperate with them, but you wouldn't have to worry about whole server coming in and spoiling the fun.![]()
If the bosses would be scaled like FATEs and would require multiple FATEs to be done in order to be summoned, it would be kinda nice in my opinion. But OFC the difficulty of these "FATEs" would have to be higher, with some normal fight mechanics etc.
