Haha true
But supporting (very) outdated hardware will only make the game stagnant, it's better it's dropped sooner rather than later... I can't imagine that many people still play on PS3 though considering I've heard nothing but how bad it was![]()
It would be a bad idea for every server that is in the same datacenter as Balmung ^^
Would it not be easier to just merge all servers of a datacenter into a single server?
Then put the meged servers of all datacenters into a new datacenter.

This is why I don't support it for open world content. You crazy?
I don't know how populated your server is, but on mine, it's really fricking crowded (except now with everyone waiting for 3.1). S rank hunts created crazy lag to the area it was in, and only way they could make that happen, would be to add instances to areas again. Only this time it would have to be like 20 instances...
In fact, the whole game would have to be split into a ton of instances, otherwise it would all crash. If you're splitting everyone up like that, why not just keep separate servers? Since it's going to be a hell trying to meet up with the people you know and want to play with...
It would be a nightmare.
Also, it doesn't matter how many instances they add to the areas, if a lot of players wants to get together in one and same place (like hunts), only a fraction of the server would be able to get there... Cause the instances can't be bigger than they are now, it's just the amount of instances that would increase to crazy levels. Prepare to spammed with "A rank in Hinterlands - instance 20", "A rank in Hinterlands - instance 17" etc etc for all areas and instances.
It would be cool to allow party invites and PF to be cross-server, though, so long as it's only for forming parties to run instanced dungeons. Where you actually meet up would be in the same instances that are already cross-server, the difference being that the cross-server part is currently randomly assigned through DF.
