    I think perhaps the first time everyone may need one but thereafter it's only needed if you want to be able to get loot from Ifrit. But why wouldn't you want that anyway. Tapers are stupid easy to farm 20 at a time anyway.

    I traded in my tapers for the lamp and see the quest log updated after that. I don't see the Lamp in inventory or under Key Items either - are you supposed to actually see it somewhere or is it just indicated by the quest log?
