Ifrit battle - lamp

Just a quick question;
Is it enough for one person in the party to posess the lamp when summoning ifrit?

I think perhaps the first time everyone may need one but thereafter it's only needed if you want to be able to get loot from Ifrit. But why wouldn't you want that anyway. Tapers are stupid easy to farm 20 at a time anyway.

I traded in my tapers for the lamp and see the quest log updated after that. I don't see the Lamp in inventory or under Key Items either - are you supposed to actually see it somewhere or is it just indicated by the quest log?

from what i hear any1 in the party with a lamp might get a drop, them without are just there to help them with

The only way to tell if you have a lamp afaik is to check the quest log. If you kill him without the lamp you just get like fire potions from the chest. With the lamp you get dark matter.







or a weapon sometimes.

Lamp is needed for a chance at weapon drop. You only need a person with quest to enter, and that may not even be a requirement if everyone has won the battle before.

No lamp = fire potions as your prize.
