Appreciate it! was very curious if you were just looking at the listing prices (Which it's very possible for just HQ's to wind up there if all the NQ's get bought out) - hopefully I didn't make you feel over pressured on it (This is the proof line kinda worried me a little.)
It does seem like it's a server economy issue. Or perhaps your server just doesn't have as many high-end crafters as the other servers? I'm not entirely sure. I'm sure one could easily sell the NQ for the (roughly) same price as the NQ because - again, the Hq ultimately doesn't matter and is just a fancy symbol at the end of the name.
Still, it's a very interesting phenomena and I'd be interested to learn more about it if anyone understands the reason for the discrepency cross-servers.
Well this is for other people who thinks that I'm the only one who want aim HQ to get much profit, but that's not only me who do this...
And I'm not sure if my server lacks of high-end crafter, but I've seen people here easily make HQ AF2 Crafter Weapon and Outfit (Also Ilv 170 accessories). So I really don't know what my current economy state in this server![]()
Glamour items should not have HQ versions at all. Like prisms/furniture/baits/whatnot. Just - no. Absolutely pointless.
You should have reclaim on your bar when dealing with 1&2 star items, after failing your rapids you could of popped it and most likely not lost your items since it 90% chance you get them back.
Personally, if Im making a glamour item for myself, I wont bother to HQ it. Same for if Im having one crafted for me, Ill tell the crafter to NQ it or that it doesnt matter.
For selling, Ill try to HQ it, but wont sacrifice progress for it.
Yeah, except designer clothes have, if nothing else, a name to go with them: something visible, something that can be shown off. Here, the HQ glamour gear offers literally nothing extra: no different colours or patterns, no special nametag on them, no special visual effects, nothing is different in their appearance, you don't get better stats from them - absolutely nothing whatsoever. The only purpose they serve is that already filthy rich crafters can exploit others much more, making those "how much gil per server?" stats even more skewed. I understand the crafters' intentions for wanting to make them HQ because it's an option, and I understand people buying the HQs when there are no NQs on sale because everyone's only making the HQ version.
^ point proven here.
This thread reminds me of how I failed (I believe) Standard Synthesis with Steady Hand II up.
Basically, I had a 110% chance to succeed progressing my craft and I failed.
[EDIT] It was only on an Ixali Daily, though.
