The big reason why new players were complaining about having to do the story for 2.X, was because level 50 content was made useless pretty much for people that have already done the story, and the fact that players wanted to experience the new areas and levels...

It was a horrible idea to just make level 50 content useless like that, and I honestly don't see the point in raising the level cap. I would much rather they just kept level 50 as the cap, kept the old content relevant still, and focused more of their time to create better end game.

I don't think those new players would be whining if the whole expansion was just an... well... expansion of the 2.X end game (I don't just mean raids). Everyone demands a lot of content, so why throw away all the content they have made before?

EDIT: My point is that, it's not as fun going through the level 50 stuff, when most people have moved passed it.
