It sounds like a woman came into the picture. Its all fun and games till that happens. Drama ensues. In before flaming even though its true.

My advice, try joining an FC or community where people enjoy socializing via voice servers, such as teamspeak or skype or other tools. over many games i have used these voice tools and it makes raiding or doing stuff more fun as u get to know the people better, have fun jokes or even banter. makes the game more special. there is many such communities out there. if u can't find one, then come to my server we are a multi-gaming internatoin community http://konvictgaming.com/ , but our server of choice in FFXIV is located in Europe ( Odin ) so if u wana be with us, u got to change servers. however, if ur just wanted to join the community u dont have to be on our same server and u can just play many of the other games with us.

I would look up FCs that focus on the casual player. I myself looked for higher ranking FCs that only had casual players lit up, if it had both casual and hardcore lit up I knocked it from my list. I'm a first time MMO'er too and although I'm a quick learner I didn't feel like being yelled at or made to feel like a moron in something I enjoy.

Look at the FC motto if there is one and see if you can get a feel for the group if they have a website or something.
Good luck and feel better soon, I've struggled with depression too and I know it can be tough. Just know you're not alone!
