B: The only reason to run castrum at all is to farm poetics, right? Once you hit 3.0 content, running Castrum is just a waste of time. So the people running castrum tend to be new, and there tends to be a lot of people that don't know what they are doing. Dps, tank, healer, it's all the same. Most people don't know what they are doing, even when they are running it for the 4th or 5th time.

The MSQ Roulette actually gives a good amount of XP (about the same as a High Roulette I think). So...its not really newer players running it, its people on jobs they may not fully understand.

Running MSQ roulette and Guildhest once per day can net you north of 2mill a week. I queue MSQ while doing the daily housekeeping (Retainers, Market Board, GC turn in, etc.), and the hests roulette pops in like 5 minutes. Usually works out just about right so I don't feel like I'm wasting time on the queue, so it's a pretty nice way to top off those odd jobs on the side while doing other busy work.

It's still way less than just running the highest hw dungeon you can do. It's enough experience to be worth it if you're just bored to tears with dusk vigil (or whichever you're on), but that's about it.

I've been told this by newbie friends, which is their excuse for getting stuck in long, wipe filled runs in what should be faceroll content. Then they ask me where to get decent level appropriate weapons and armor, and complain about being broke all the time. I also hear a lot of people complain that they aren't in 3.0 content yet, but they always seem to be more concerned with their daily MSQ roulette than actually doing the dungeons and trials that are part of the story.

If MSQ roulette helps you get what you feel is necessary leveling XP, then great. But I generally tell players not to get stuck in MSQ roulette grind. Too many people I know grinded to 60 on daily roulette bonuses, yet haven't even cleared Aery.
