    NO.

    Simply, not.

This is not something that would affect PvP only, it also affects PvE.
Some melees who hate camera locking (Hi, me here) have macros to spam face target so we don't miss auto attacks while moving, and thus, we don't lose DPS that is so valuable in raids. Basically, camera locking is awful, gives me tunnel vision and I can't trespass a monster or boss hitbox but just circle around... Makes me clumsy in mechanics so I decided to stop using it, but the difference of not using it makes you lose 50-100 DPS because auto attacks (At least in monk) and you can't afford that, so I made my own method, facetarget spam. Now I'm not in disadvantage with camera lockers, all the opposite.

Also, I still thinking, if someone gets the effort to spam that, why not? They should stop the third programs, but, using macros to spam the facetarget is totally legit. (I don't have any macro just in order to not stop my facetarget macro, as, other macros would interrupt it).

PS: I'm pretty surprised you noticed all the benefits about it, too bad you decided to comment, I hope SE won't take this in mind, (Can't help, I have to be honest) because it affects me straight, mostly in PvE. (In PvP with a single facetarget per casting is enough for me. )

The third party programs are the problem, not the macros themselves. I don't recall reading anyone saying that the macros should be broken, just the use of third-party programs to spam said macros.

That said, if the only way to stop third-party programs from spam-facing a target hundreds of times per second is to break those macros, than those macros should be broken in order to fix this exploit. The exploit completely breaks certain combat mechanics in the game. As much as I hate to say it, your inconvenience is a small price to pay for fixing an exploit like this. After all, ensuring the game actually works should take priority over convenience.
