I missed my cap for tomes for the first time last week.

In all seriousness. I am all for games being the source of relaxation in a busy life. But perhaps an MMO isn't the choice for you if that's all the time you have at the moment?
Otherwise, I heavily suggest checking out various resources on time management to ensure you have time for everything you'd like to do.

If ppl are really playing then i'm sure they never really run out of stuff to do i mean end game is not everything why not go sit on a hill and craft and look how gorgeous the game looks? to quote Tallahassee from zombieland

I like when ppl say that there is a lot to do in this game. There isn't, unless you like replaying the same content for five months. Seriously, i can think of single player games that keep me more interested than this expansion. Who thought it was a good idea to wait this long for the new patch, I feel like this game is going to end up dying soon.

Then play the game then, where does it say you have to cap tomes and buy item "x"? The game is what you make of it. If you decide to stay stuck doing the same thing over and over, then of course its going to get boring. To each his own, I think I've only capped eso tomes once and actually haven't gathered any in almost a month. Found other things to do in game and still having fun.

Problem is once new content is released, the same people bum rush everything then complain theres nothing to do, again, and again. Its a vicious cycle.

There's enough stuff to do. Heck, many people still do the Primals. But people like the TC feel like they're too good to do old content UNLESS he's helping an FC member. The only thing I wish would happen, is the Heavensward dungeons were included in a Roulette.

Maybe its just me then. I still have side quests from 2.0 that haven't even been done yet. I just got the meteor survive ring yesterday (been playing since it launched on the PS4) if that shows how much stuff I have left.

I've only ever capped tomes once... maybe twice, and I've been playing since 2.0 started. Heck, those two occasions were also the only time I've ever been over half near the cap lol.

The only thing I bum rush now is weekly for Alex normal. But even then, after getting an item from each Floor, I still run it in DF for the music and quick Tomes.

This though. Everyone is always rushing through the new content within a week, then conplaining you have nothing to do? I wonder why. I just don't see how rushing through the game is enjoyable.

"Same" content is content, regardless. We're not limited to just Heavensward stuff.
