    Because all of those things are:

    A) not needed
    B) a waste of resources
    C) plain stupid (mainly the Egi AI)

    It sounds like you want change for the sake of change. In the case of the ninja, lore wise they are trained to move differently to accommodate their fighting style and were added later than the original jobs so they had more time to work on them.

    Ignoring the cosmetic stuff, having traits affecting your skills and character in such a way makes it far harder to balance the Jobs, and SE have done a great job doing that currently. I mean the fact you want to gimp other jobs and have an alternate and superior set of AI programming for one class shows how little you know about the game or how SE wants to build it.

    It's been obvious for a long time they want a strict and controlled system they can finely tune and balance, adding unnecessary traits that make that system harder to work with isn't going to happen.

    Faster raise? 99% of the time you'll be using swiftcast on your only raise every minute.
    Longer range for targeting and songs? Completely unnecessary, there's no need to be further away, in fact it'll only make targeting you harder for other party members and if you're out of song range you are out of range of the rest of the party.
    Increased melee range? Why? The whole point is to be up close, did your characters arms suddenly grow in length? Being further away only makes it harder to change target rapidly without DPS loss and hit positionals because it'll take longer to react.
    Fairy move speed? Why? Absolutely pointless, you'll rarely move them unless they are eating cleaves and they aren't slow currently anyway.

    I could pic holes all day but I want to go to bed Frankly the whole thing is pointless...

    All of these we don't need yet have. The whole point is that these things were added because others wanted them. But they are all completely useless besides looks or lore.

    How would those minor changes throw off balance? How would holding your staff like a BLM as a WHM throw off balance? Bard range? How would that make it a problem? It would be an improvement. Making it easier for a Bard to stay out of the heat of battle while giving songs. The long reach thing, arms growing? Come on. The range thing doesn't even matter as you're way out of arm length in-game anyway. It's what.. 3 yalms? If that's equivalent to yards, isn't that like 9 feet? 9 foot arms. Yeah it doesn't matter. As for fairies, I see them getting beat on all the time and it would also help with them traveling with you.

    Holding your staff affecting balance? What are you a dumbass? I never said that, I was obviously talking about the skill affecting traits. I couldn't care less for the cosmetic crap you said.

    But I like how you ignore my actual points on the skill traits and why they are stupid and then go on to try and break apart my random examples I gave. I guess ignorance is bliss when it comes to finding out your ideas are stupid...

    As for the fairy taking damage all the time, then you're playing with bad players, they don't have to even be close to heal someone they have the same range as us, only idiots put them up close to the fight. And as for their movement they have the same movement speed as us, just they start moving a second after as they are basically on /follow, that delay isn't worth its own trait that could be used for something actually useful.
