Eh? Was this meant to be a reply to me?This is a pretty major issue, more serious then the ones presented in 1.18 anyway, I'm curious to hear any counter arguments as to why you think it isn't. I'm trying to form a constructive discussion about this topic but all I keep reading are FFXIV styled facebook comments, and petty retorts. That wasn't a personal attack on you but the uncreative responses i've been receiving as a whole.
Sorry my mistake, i edited my post.
Yep the counter arguments I get don't try to disprove the theory that it diminishes character worth but rather basically say, "We'll i'm max level now and I didn't have to play as much as you, why are you complaining so much?". I don't think expecting people to play for 2-3 months over a week makes me a hardcore purist, if they don't plan to play the game for more then 3 months why would SE want them paying a monthly subscription anyway?
The real disheartening part i'm clearly struggling to resolve internally is lets say best case scenario it does get addressed in 1.19a: Why didn't they look at the controversy of PLing more in depth before releasing it, and seek out more player feedback? Why was no testing done on the speed of PL experience done prior to releasing the patch?
Your comment raises an even more discouraging question: Is the development team going to take advise from a bunch of players who clearly have no respect for the games future but are only playing because they see it as a free game and not a beta?
Its clear yoshi-P's ideals are starting to conflict with one another, and he needs to decide on what kind of game he really wants this to be. I'm really questioning Yoshi-P's judgement on this one, I don't think anyone but fickle players actually get excited by the idea that they won't have to actually develop they're character or play style to reach max level.
