The only hunter aspect I see is the apparent animal pelt. I don't think full plate when I think Hunter. I think cloth and light leather. And certainly not restricted visibility.

By virtue of not being entirely plate armor with horrifically restricted visibility, it's vastly more viable than your hunter example. I can't speak for thigh boots being restraining because I've never worn thigh boots. Most hats in any game ever are ugly. And I'll give you the shredded cloths bit, even if I can appreciate it aesthetically.

What we could use is more crafted glamour. Give jobs access to models that weren't available to them before (kirimu coat for the MNK/NIN) or new models entirely. I want an aranche shirt for my MCH :l.

It's imo better than reusing the theme/coloring scheme over and over; while it does fit, it seems more of the same when we have WoD and the law gear.

Im not really a fan of the styles but they do thematically fit a void haunted ghostship originally created by Black Mages. That would also explain the Black. Cause you know, Black Mages.

Regardless of the gear, people will run the raid anyway cause its going to drop upgrade materials for Eso gear.

Most likely not immediately, see also Syrcus Tower. It was a good amount of time after the raid's release before upgrade items were made available.

I don't like them, but it's not because of bad design, but because I dislike everything with rags and belts. The Demon Set, for example, is the UGLIEST of the whole game for me.
