They look like recycled WoD gear.
They look like recycled WoD gear.
You make it too simple
Ninjas have a chainmale (the AF), DRG can wear some Cuiras which is plate, tanks can wear chain and the other melee can also wear gears an armorer have crafted. And you forgot [Scale].
Not the material decide it, what is written in the info text decide it.
And there are also some healer body that is leather:

It's kind of starting to look too much the same as other offerings. As a WHM, do I really need another robe where the belt is over here as opposed to over there? Hopefully it least can be dyed. Notice how the WHM robe is the only white one? It's not like I need another white robe, either.
Yeah I'm a bit disappointed that it's just a white version of the caster gear again. Why is it the only white set? I get it, I'm a white mage, but that doesn't mean all of my gear has to be white too. :/It's kind of starting to look too much the same as other offerings. It just doesn't fit with the look of the rest of the sets.
I do agree they are similar but they are all from the same designer. I mean surely we all like particular brands of clothes and stick with a brand (on occasion not forever).
But that aside, each set has a "theme" of some sort, like well "Dragons".... or maybe "Kabuki" or like
Well, you know this time it's got a dash of H.R. Giger so I'm going to guess the theme this time could be:
(I am looking forward to it!)
Most of those sets are looking really boring. Don't like them and reminds me what we currently have with slight differences.
Item level requirement should have been 185. 190 at most.
Sigh just hope its not face role content in still mad at Alexander normal and why is Alexander normal weekly lock still?
You're attempting to use oddly specific details in an effort to undermind an arguement. Alright, challenge accepted. You make it too simple

(Note: Some numbers may be a little off as it's a quick check by literally scrolling down and counting in the head... which can sometimes get a little bit mussed as you go when you're also checking to identify the armor type)
A search of healer body pieces 1-50 yielded:
Weaver: 70
Leatherworker: 4
ARM/BSM: 0
A search of Pugilist body pieces 1-50 yielded:
Weaver: 60~
Leatherworker: 20~
a search of Dragoon body pieces 1-50 yielded:
Weaver: 60~
Leatherworker: 16~
Armorer: 20~
a search of Warrior body pieces 1-50 yielded:
Armorer: 35~
It doesn't take a genius to infer that the armor class of each one tends to be quite different, with "Tank" being the top-tier armor class (and likewise having access to the most pieces of armor types), Dragoon being just under them, then Monk/Ninja being a step below that, with Healers at the bottom of the 'armor totem pole.'
Now, yes - I will not deny you that there are, indeed, outliers in any scenario. However, as stated in my original post:
Dragoons are not Tanks. The design of the Dragoon gear is extremely lazy - it was literally the Tank gear with a skirt taken off (or, vice-versa: The tank gear was the Dragoon gear with a skirt added on.) and doesn't match the 'theme' of the way the armor is differentiated between classes.
probabaly because you can only reach an ilvl over 180 with weekly locked gear. imagine you just hit lvl 60, there is this new content and you can't reach the ilvl because of weekly lockout.
"hm, shall i buy the i200 weapon and wait another two weeks or some stuff for the right side so i have the ilvl?"
and then second classes wich don't have weekly locked gear.
i think ilvl 175 was ja good decision from square.
