Any chance of Map Markers?

Would like to put my own certain markers with text on them somewhat similar to ffxi just so I can remember a few things, particularly for gathering and navigating maps like coerthas... Could also mark for certain fates and things of interest. They need to stay there though, even after logging out.

Not an immediate need or anything but would be helpful.

Yes, please! I've been meaning to make a post about this. Would really be helpful for a lot of things, but I would use it mainly for hunts or even just favorite places to take screenshots.

I would love to have these, especially in the larger HW zones. I used them a lot in FFXI.

I would like marks that never go away...that way I can just always remember map spots...maybe if we can name them as well so the exact cords popped up when you hover over them.

That you can already do. Ctrl right click the map it'll place a flag and put <flag> code in your textbox. Be sure you're in party chat and just press enter. Now others can click your text and see the same flag.

I would love this, but if they were going to do it, my preferred method would be to essentially provide an overlay for the map (essentially an alpha channel/map) that would allow for marking with a dot and some text or outright drawing on it. It would be really nice to be able to scribble out where certain gathering nodes spawn, what items are hidden there, when ephemeral nodes spawn, the location of treasure chests, what time certain nodes spawn (and where), where certain FATES will spawn, or even just where a particular landmark is (other than the already noted ones).

I do gather a lot, as should be obvious, and really I'd almost like to investigate map swapping to alleviate some of these issues (though I won't, promise).

I'd like this but only if console users get a server side settings backup on the login screen one day, since they'd probably be stored client side and end up as just another way the game could utterly devastate me if I wanted to change machines. Bad memories of that happening in XI
