Thread: 3.1 Main Scenario picture

It looks like Krile's WHM costume.


Note that Krile in FFXIV is from the Scholars of Baldesion..

Don't think this is a mirror group in terms of gameplay, or an attempt at copying the player.

This is the Midlander, or a version of him, these are his allies, and they reflect our own intent with Darkness to counter Light.

My guess is that something went very wrong soon after or during the Calamity. He fled Ul'dah alone, approached Ishgard alone, and did battle with a Dravanian army led not by Nidhogg, but by Hraesvelgr (whom he'd also encountered having led a charge on a version of the Steps of Faith that hadn't been successfully defended, and was instead littered with bodies), that penetrated Ishgard's defenses and fully engaged in battle with its guard and populace. All done without aid from the Scions.

I believe we're going to clash against the embodied result of an Eorzea that is lost to conflict, without any hope of returning from the brink. Evidence of an "Ark" that may traverse the Void could support this.

Meteor only met Hraesvelgr after the Sultana was "Dead", and he tried to save her life, or so it appears... And he was pretty joyful in 2.0 opening cutscene (the last part of it). What went wrong probably took place in early 2.5... And he probably was helped by Thordan since he wears a full Dragoon armor in the cutscene...

The thing is that Hraesvelgr hasn't ever attacked Ishgard in the lore. He and his brood aren't part of the Horde. They just mind their own business in the Forelands and in the Churning Mists. Hraesvelgr only leaves the Churning Mists to go hunting in the Forelands.

If the WoD is derplander I don't think the trailers will be truly representative or alternatively he could be from some type of alternate Eorzea. The Screenshot I mentioned had that grey 'Echo vision' look to it and he was in his WAR gear.

Not to mention the "fight a clone of yourself" gimmick was already used, but I won't say where to avoid spoilers. That and I could never get the spoiler box to work properly.

I am fairly new to this MMO (and know little or nothing about past Final Fantasy games).

That being said, I always considered the Warrior in the scenes to be a "stand in" for my own character. The HW trailer for example, incorporates as flashback everything that happens to me at the end of 2.x and beginning of 3.0. That final cut-scene would thus be a bit, um, deceptive as far as what really is going to happen.

Maybe "Krile" is a Lalafell, and SE just deleted the Lalafellin ears from that hood, because 4 ears would look weird.

I'm still hoping she's a new race/mix from 2 races, I like the idea since we've already seen Hyuur + Elezen mix

Judging from the picture I'm guessing the ears are just hidden by the hood / hair ... I don't see anything that would hint at the lalafel being a crossbreed or having disjointed ears O.o
