If you don't like the FFXIV cash shop, just pretend it doesn't exist. Other than a small number of "glamour" items, the game won't be any different.

Now me, I like having the opportunity to give SE a little extra reward when I'm particularly happy with how FFXIV is going, while at the same time getting something fun to just fool around with. So I'm glad the cash shop is there.

But if your enjoyment of the game hinges on being able to get Metallic Red dye without paying real money for it, well, I don't understand that. Maybe there's a Project Runway MMO you can play instead?

And if it just annoys you as "a matter of principle," you need to realize how ridiculous being an MMO SJW really is.

Calling names and trying to be witty won't make your "point" any more valid.

This is a subscription game. There are plenty of people that feel that all items available should be obtainable in game since we are paying for it monthly. That's pretty much it. Pulling items from game and putting them in a cash shop only is a bit sleazy.

Show where in your subscription agreement it says you are entitled to that. Oh, it doesn't, does it?
So you just want more than you are contractually entitled to it without having to pay for it. Typical, but wrong.
You are getting the game you agreed to pay for for your subscription. You're not entitled to more than that.

Riddle me this silverbane if the Developers just threw open the doors to the game and said "Pay us money to play this" and never updated it, and just left the game stagnant for years. How many people would pay to play that game?

My answer: I imagine not a soul.

The subscription Fee covers a consumers expectations that the developers will continue to release new content that is worth the money they invest into the game on a per-month basis. Wether legally obliged or not you would nothing but ruin by trying to enforce the TOUA on respectable business level it's legal backing to prevent a fallout if they fail to deliver anything worth cost but it's not something any developer would be sane to agree with.

Don't think it'll be ever be too bad until we get cash shop BiS item gambling systems, Japanese games tend to love those

I find it funny that some people refuse to even touch a subscription game but will gladly fork over 20-30 a month for cash shop items in other games. As for destiny if its just the emotes, those are completely pointless other than for laugh factor to me, so not needed and easily ignored. Same with mogstation, only difference being we pay monthly to play this (dunno about Destiny, don't play) but I still feel everything should be obtainable.

And yet, Pefect World still reigns number 1 as the biggest F2P MMO ripoff when it comes to its cash shop. EVERYTHING is locked behind the Boutique. If you want Rank 9, that's 2k$ up front(the weapon is 500 IIRC). Refines will run you 10K.

I'm kinda surprised that Maple Story wasn't mentioned here. They hopped on that P2W train and are taking a joy ride on it

I played the Demo of Destiny. Game has totally no story mode. And all you do is grind grind grind... <.<
I dont understand why people play this. And I cant believe this game is made by the people who maded Halo. Never!
