I know endgame content is off the Duty Finder because of its difficulty, but if we had the type of filters like the Party Finder does, it would be possible to narrow down a capable group.

Just can't find people for anything these days. Literally waiting hours to put together a Ravana Ex or Alex sav group.

I'd imagine it would work exactly like the Duty Finder, Only instead of having the server handle search and join, players would do it manually across a list. No need for communication.

Just like hosting a match on other games.

Why not have communication too though? FFXIV is one of the few remaining MMOs that has an iron curtain between servers.

Except you'd still want to be able to communicate with others on what you want out of the group. I don't think everyone goes into EX primals or Alexander automatically knowing what everyone wants or what they can offer to the group. PF can only display so much information and even then, we still have people joining wrong groups for the wrong purpose because the PF info wasn't clear enough due to character limitation.

Just needs to be programmed to work. If you look at other mmos you can talk to and invite people on other servers and do stuff with them.

FF14 is a special snowflake, so my expectations are different.

Communication would certainly help, and make things quicker. But its a compromise I'm willing to make to have the core the feature in.

I'd support this only of we had some way of communication. I already have a thread up because I'm tired of people joining Party Finder groups and completely misreading/ignoring/disrespecting people's PF rules. The PF doesn't have enough options at the moment to allow this to work effectively. Great idea - if implemented properly.
