I'm having a hard time deciding between either
1) Instanced housing with the same level of ease of access and full customization as Rift or WildStar
or
2) Glamour wardrobe that we unlock appearances in, instead of saving hte physical item, allowing us to save multiple outfits that can all be used regardless of class/job (see Rift, WildStar, GW2 - though not so much on the transmutation stones there).
@_@ Either one would be good, though I'd probably get more mileage out of the housing thing. That alone would give me enough motivation to stay subscribed forever.
- To add full character customization to the aesthetician (would still only cost 2k gil) and turn all currently existing vials of fantasia into a pick-your-own-color insta-dye for chocobos.
...If you don't want people changing their name/gender/race every 5 seconds, just put a limit of once per week on that feature and problem solved.
- To add an additional slot to the character window. In this window, you'd insert a glamour chrysalis. It would store any customization and it would display whatever customization you wanted when equipped. Your wardrobe in the Inn would be a list of all viewable items in the game that you ever had at any point enter your inventory/armory and this list would be account-wide. Allow players to sell/give imprinted glamour chrysalis freely.
- Allow players to name their characters what they want regardless if someone has already picked that name. Could have our forum names be the unique identifier or SE could just assign a randomly generated series of numbers for that purpose.

"I've been playing MMO's a long time and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that lions do not concern themselves with the opinions of sheep. Just take that little voice in your head that tells you to be tactful and understanding and shoot it...shoot it in the goddamn face."

I want this outfit on my character.
I second the glamour log. It would work similarly to the crafting logs. It has a list of every item in the game. When you register gear, you get a checkmark next to the item. Registering consumes a glamour prism, and binds the actual gear to you. When you outgrow it, just toss it and the item stays checked off on your log.
Bearskin condoms.
A glamour catalog is a MUST HAVE feature.
We need more stats or perks. Maybe not tied in gear, but maybe on Materias or a different "perk" system, so we can personalize our character and adapt it on different situations, even upgrade it with enough effort.
Like, make new materias with "+2% double attack" or "-3% TP drain from skills" etc etc...
More endgame. Raid os cool and stuff, but we need more endgame! I think "exploration missions" should be a thing to focus endgame too.

New inventary system guildwars-like.
Get rid of pvp and spend those resources in more trials xD.
Oh, and rational gear progresion. No more nonsense of implementing first the 8 man ilvl 210 raid to implement 5 months later a 24 man ilvl 200 raid.
I woud love an MMO with some horizontal progresion, no instances and other things, but, that's not what FF XIV is. FF XIV is a theme park, and for theme parks vertical progresion is , in my opinion, the way to go.
