And on that note, being able to decide if I want to continue being the Warrior of Light or move to the dark side...
A Glamour Catalog.
1. Some form of added horizontal progression to go along with the vertical we already have
2. Additional challenging content for the middle tier player (i.e. not mind numbingly easy or ultra Alex Savage hard)
3. A glamour log so we can keep glamours for future use, while being able to discard the actual equipment

Mine is simple. A moomba minion would make me pretty happy... And a gunblade class, that would make me really happy

The Qu Tribe from FF9 as a Beastman race.
Horizontal progression.
Solo q while choco out or in a party
More stuff for pvp
Make our retainers companions so we can adventure with them. It would be great to be able to roam around in tandem with one of our retainers instead of our companion chocobo (or as well as?). We could even use them to make up the missing spot in a light party.
Given all the threads about players unable to figure out how to use more than just Heavy Shot or Blizzard in their rotations, I hardly think there will be a problem implementing sufficient AI to at least achieve average levels of DPS from our retainers.
Following on from that, let us take our Chocobo companions with us into 4-man dungeons when running unsync'd.
OK, a thought just occurred to me, a player with a male character and 3 female retainers....Charlies Angels? I wonder if anyone would have too much fun playing with their retainers (now there is a sentence...) to bother grouping with real people?

More inventory/armory space :x
A dye & glamour system like GW2.
Glamour - Any gear that you use (or specificially "unlock") is available for your glamouring needs. No need to keep the original piece - the image is saved in a wardrobe tab.
Dyes (a) - Most gear pieces have at least 2-4 dyeable sections, which can be dyed different colors
Dyes (b) - Also, once you obtain a dye, it is saved permanently without needing to buy more.
I know a common argument against permanent dyes is that it would kill the demand on these items since people only have to purchase them once. It definitely hasn't killed the market in GW2. They have 450+ dyes available, and they are always releasing more. Makes for a fun collectible item. I've been working at my set for years, not even half-way done.
