THis is bots? Why this game has so many bots?

I found a large group of them on Gilga a few days ago standing together, all machinists, all attacking the same monsters with the same attacks. Looked like a nice big AoE afk grindfest. Didn't matter if I attacked the mobs or not, they just keep on tab targeting.

dead giveaway, high ranking class that is not a job, no free company, all in the same place at the same time. Since the bots have the ability to hide under the map and in walls etc this is the best practice that I have seen in identifying a bot network, simple patterns like this.

On Shiva too ... I reported several bots ... and who dont care this situation? The support ... thats so poor of them, ignoring their own rules!!!

Think we should all start to bot ... so the balance between all players is restored again, and the server will be permanently at its limit ... great tactics SQUARE ENIX!!!

I reported this bot network several times but sqex either hasn't gotten around to my report, or they are content with them running around the server.

I don't like the idea of bots either, but I think SE's problem is that how can they be sure that the people are actually bots? How are you even?

They have random names, no FC, probably don't respond to tells and are all together? It seems suspicious, but doesn't necessarily make them bots. I mean please don't misunderstand, you're probably right and they probably are, but unless SE know for sure, they're unlikely to just start banning accounts.

Even if they move together I'm pretty sure that's okay too (I remember reading once that multiboxing was okay as long as you were controlling all of them yourself although I can't find a link so I can't confirm that as true)

Sorry just wanted to say it might not be as simple as "Those look like bots, remove them!"

If they're glitching in/under things and/or teleporting around then SE is likely to do something if reported, but if they're just all moving around killing things, realistically how can SE be sure they aren't actually real player(s)?

Sorry, but I disagree with your video completely and I honestly can't tell if that's a bot or not. It looks/acts like a normal person to me. They move randomly (they take same routes yes, but they're likely just heading for the newest nodes, you want them to take the longest route?), they don't glitch around, they avoid/sneak around enemies...

Yes they don't fly... and? When I'm gathering (even in Heavensward areas) I sometimes just chocobo between nodes on the ground. Sometimes I fly, because yes it is faster, but it's just habit from the original areas for 2+ years.

Likewise wait time when gathering... I can't speak for everyone, but I know when I'm gathering I'm usually watching something on TV too (because gathering is boring as heck!) and I get distracted and there's often gaps between attempts and it's nowhere near as fast as it could be if I was focused 100% on it.

Didn't quite understand the part about going stealth when enemies were around... yes... isn't that normal when gathering? You turn it on when needed and turn it off asap because of the speed penalty.

Please don't misunderstand, I'm not standing up for boting, I'm just trying to say everyone plays differently and what you linked appears (to me) to just be a normal person trying to gather.

Like I said in my previous post, if SE can't be 100% sure they're a bot, they're probably not going to do anything about it.

In fact if anything (and please understand I'm not trying to have a go at you personally), it comes across more as you're stalking and harassing THEM (I can see from the partial bits of chat you're having a go at them because they won't reply). Maybe they have chat turned off, maybe they don't speak your language, maybe they just think it's amusing to annoy you by not answering, maybe they are a bot... my point is we don't know 100%.

Sorry if you dont see this automation behavior and the useless actions he do you seem to realize nothing. If you stick your head into the sand it wouldn't change a thing!

P.S.: GMs and all game admis are completly incompetent and overwhelmed. More obvios botting isn't possible. And today I've seen another char walking straight the same route as Agrima ... normal for you too I think ... get your head into the sand please and be quite you blind fish!

Obviously it doesn't come down to you or I as to if these accounts get banned, but how can SE ban accounts for botting if there is any doubt as to if they actually are bots?

I certainly wouldn't want them banning accounts just because people walked in a straight line from node to node and didn't fly... Just because you do things a certain way, or even the most efficient way, doesn't mean the rest of us do it the same way.
