I have a coarse grade myself but I just loc't it which was a match made in heaven. I use to have braids and cornrowls but combing through it with a tender head was hell. I'm just hoping she literally not running around here with a curl lol.

Haa wish I could get myself to do that... I usually straighten mine but...effort...

lol not trying to turn this into a rl hair thread, but 2 strand twist...retwist with loc cream every couple of weeks and wash with a non-residue shampoo and you pretty much have your lvl 60 roation down. ; )

Only similar things between my character and me irl is the gender, pale skin, and height. Didn't really try to make her look similar to me since it's, well, a fantasy game so why not be creative.

My old character was a miqo'te, the only thing we had in common was the height.
After that I changed to lalafell and created a mini-me. >_<
Tbh my rl hair is dark brown, but I dyed it red so my character has red hair.. When the rl color starts to fade, I change Leleyo's hair to match.
Shame is that I can't get the exact eye color (green/brown, only way to get is with limbal rings >_>).

That has just been a weird concept to me, i would never make my character look like me, it's the same as using your real name for your character as well. I mean this is a fantasy game, it kind of shows you have little sense of being creative, just let your imagination run. It would be quiet awkward for a lala or a roe to "look" like you irl.. I think you have bigger problems on your hand.

Why can't I imagine myself to be the tiniest person possible? ;_;
In the end you can't get a character to look exactly like you, just some features...

As for skin color, my character are more pale than I m
I live kind of isolate life
I do try to create my character as a relection of myself

Just because someone wants their character to actually be themselves, doesn't mean they're just uncreative or boring. Sometimes it's just fun to actually pretend or play a character who is yourself roaming around in these fantasy lands, actually beating up evildoers and saving lives, like you're the one doing this, not some other person. Of course they can't seriously, make these characters look just like they do irl. But, those people can have their chars bare some resemblance to them.

For example, I actually made my character's height the same as I am irl, I also tried my best to make it so that the face bears some likeness to my own. Of course the hairstyle, hair/eye color is just something I'd like to see myself having, if I were in a fantasy world such as FFXIV or any other game.

Also, OP, what I say is just do whatever makes you happy and have fun in the game! Whether you want your character to be the same gender as yourself irl or in your own words, to be a "cute little badass female Lala knight." ..I know some people who like their characters being like themselves irl. But, I also have friends who like to play other genders and or chars that look completely different than they do, I don't judge them for it. It's just personal preference x: you don't need to feel weird about it or anything, if it feels right to you, then it's all good (sorry for the long post)
