Ast is better at mp management, with the reduced cost
The mp card and the ability to extend mp regen with celestial opposition

WHM MP management is superior simply because Assize is MP restore, which scales to max PIE. AST doesn't have MP restore skills, only refresh. But Lightspeed and Synastry help quite a bit with keeping the pace. Aside from Ewer RNG.

Lightspeed do not help for the mana management quite the opposite, you burn your mana much more faster !
But synastrie... Hell yeah it's a blessing !

Now you are just rewording it. "Regen" is the same as refresh. Luminiferous (80/15s) and Shroud (80/15s) is MP refresh/regen for a period of time.

Assize is an immediate 10% MP restore of a WHM's max PIE. That is 10% restored, immediately. So if you use it 8x in a 13-minute fight with 13500 max MP, a WHM will restore 10800 MP every fight.
