The instant heal from B2 will induce a GCD and the mana cost is still the same, your proc from Cure into C2 costs less mana to cast. Its a trade off, if WHM cost instant cast C2 + reduced mana cost, that would be OP. As people have already mentioned, you have plenty of instant cast abilities, the healing classes in general are pretty balanced in terms of their pros and cons.
Exactly. The last thing this game needs is more homogenizing. I prefer my SCH over my WHM for some content and other content I prefer my WHM. I started an AST and so far I like that it is unique in it's play style.**Removed**
The healers are very similar to each other already but all three have a niche that makes them shine with something. WHM has HoTs, big heals and some burts damage but even so we have Tetra, Assize, Benediction and swiftest too. Our toolkit is good, more of the others would risk to make us OP.
I don't want to see any of the three healing jobs lose their niche. I've seen this happen in other MMO's and it ruins the job/classes.
I think WHM are in a very good space. They're more about timing, but at least they have a couple abilities to deal with the situation.
AST could use just a little tweak on Essential Dignity. Reducing the cooldown to 30 seconds and increasing the base potency by 100 will actually make it feel like I'm not just throwing in an extra Benefic II sometimes. Light speed is great - but has a decently long CD and the abilities aren't even truly instant. Yes, there's global cooldown, but casting Aspected Helios, it'll still have a cast bar because LS reduces cast time by 2.5 seconds. I don't count Benefic II proc because that's reliant on spamming Benefic.
The sheer healing power behind the WHM - HoT's, couple of reasonable CD abilities - more than make up for their limited instant cast heals. People really underestimate the WHM HoT throughput.
This. It may not be much because it's not Savage and all, but on A4 normal if you have 2 WHM you can completely forget about Nisi/Orbs. I've seen the HoTs tick up for 6K on me, that's freaking 50% of my whole HP bar.
I still think Benediction could have its cooldown lowered to 3 minutes, though.

Bene animation delay blows. Also affects HG. Might as well add a cast time if it isn't actually doing to be instant.
It makes me wonder why any spells' cast time don't include the animation time as well. >_> If a frame is 1 second and a spell says 2.2 just freaking say 3.2. >_>
It may be wise to take animation delays into account when needing to burst anything.
Jobs are already too similar as is. Make whm the sustain healer, let another healer be preventive healer, and the other the "emergency" healer. So we can have different playstyles instead of all 3 jobs capable of the same things. Whm should get that one benediction life line for their error. And should be focused on sort of keeping people near full and pre-casting cure on incoming big damage
Eh.... does Presence of Mind not count for anything anymore? I understand it doesn't make cures instant but surely it makes a difference in moments that needs clutch healing, yes?
