WHM needs more instant heals

Tbh, the bracket you gave isn't emergency territory at all, and a cure II would suffice. Tetra on 60s and swift/assiez/bene more than make up for the rest.

Also you have regen, med II and asylum that can be up when no adds will be spawning. Also, by the time you have run content a few times, you should have a general idea when the big hits are coming, and be ready with cure II or already be precasting it.

If all this isn't enough, you are being far too reactive and should look into being more proactive when it comes to the heals.

This can only be a joke! Did you already play AST?????? And if you did, I don't understand you a fortiori. If you REALLY think that AST has so much more powerful "Instands" than WHM. Then just go and play AST!!!!!

I don't think that the OP remembers when WHM had to make do with Bene, Swiftcast+Cure II, and knowing the fight in-and out.

WHM healing portfolio is just as strong as ever with the addition of greater flexibility and MP management options. AST's Aspected Benefic isn't on the same level as spells like Tetra, Lustrate, ED, or even Assize since it trips the GCD, and that Benefic II proc is still pretty awful. I suspect that most ASTs would trade in an instant if offered an equivalent to Freecure.

Synastry is pretty hawt though +~65% more on a single target when casting Benefic/II. @.@ <3. ASts have allot of reactive options, they just have lots of CDS to go with it. They have one real insta heal (400-1k potency essential dignity), but they rely on using an ability first (Synastry, Lightspeed, Swiftcast) to push their emergency heals.

So what I'm saying is, AST have their own ways of dealing with clutch situations and WHM needs to leave them alone. ;-;

Under Diurnal Stance casting Aspected Benefic is just like a tickle, you cannot compare it with Nocturnal Stance.. AB is not an emergency heal. Seriously, AST only has ED as an emergency heal and nothing more. Proc'd Benefic II is nice but it's not 100% reliable as we all know. You should be precasting anyways and if you think you won't make it you use your emergency heals, specially if they are not on a long cooldown, you should not be saving them only for those "351 HP" emergencies, asides Benedicition, since it has the longest cooldown.

By using them (except Bene) everytime they are up you save yourself MP overtime which is more power to you. As a WHM I feel more safe because I know I got all these tools that as an AST I don't. I don't know what the OP is going on about. WHM, specially WHM! does not need more instant emergency heals.

My inclination is just to think the OP has no talent with the standard WHM playstyle, but a lot of aptitude with SCH and AST. Which is fine.

It's true AST and SCH is a lot more mobile of a healer than WHM, so it appeals to a certain player more. I'd say just to play as SCH and AST since you apparently have them leveled and I personally think they're more interesting than WHM. I do like the WHM staves though, so I can see why you'd want to have the WHM play like AST and SCH or at least want the WHM look. I'd probably feel the same once I get my Nirvana Z.

Funny because my WHM is at 60, ilvl 185 and I started AST again last night just at 57 and I was thinking the opposite, that I miss all the instant abilities from WHM! I use Tetra constantly, usually any time a tank or someone is below 50% HP then followed up with a Cure or Cure II. Or sometimes the opposite, casting Cure II and hitting Tetra right as Cure II fires. I think people fear the cool downs too much, like lately I've even been using Swiftcast more often to hit Medica II after big damage, as 95% of the time it's up again by the time I need it. I used to always try to save all my cooldowns but at the end of the day you're just wasting them by not using them frequently. Bene is the king of instant, or near instant since it takes a sec to fire. My biggest issue with it is when the person dies between the 1 second or so it takes for you to press it and it to trigger, wasting it by casting it on myself a split second after they wipe.
