In-Game Catalog for Equipment and Other Unique Items

I'm relatively new to this game and I've largely enjoyed the game thus far. When I play mmos I tend to be a collector. As I got to level 50 and all the Hard and Extreme duties and dungeons I realized that I would never have enough space to store all the uniques. Not to mention they are largely outclassed now since the expansion has released. This means anyone new to the game has little reason beyond unlocking other quests or a base for glamour to do these dungeons.

I know there's the retainer system as well as the chest in the FC house, but I feel like it isn't enough especially as more content is released. So I'd like to see some form of in-game catalog introduced. This is an example from a free to play mmo called Eden Eternal:

I loved this catalog because it had a lot of useful features which are listed in the article.

Now I realize that this exact system wouldn't work in FF14 and would take a lot of work to implement. However it would be nice to see something similar even if it was for unique equipment only. I'd even pay a little extra on my sub or buy outright to have a feature like that.

uh you do realize there's an equipment book on the site itself right?

Yeah on site is just a database but what I mean is an archive in game that you could actually store all the unique equipment in and is a data base all in one. So lets say I want every piece of primal equipment and/or all the crafted equipment there's not enough space in game for that now. I mean sure they could add more retainers I guess, but it is nice to have it all in one location.

It may seem silly to others cuz why keep equipment that is not needed anymore? Like I mentioned, I just like to collect it and not to mention it adds gameplay hours to the game trying to farm for it. You could argue too that something like that would never be added because it would be unfair for people who pay extra for extra retainers. There's still plenty need for them for crafting materials, materia, and potions. Not to mention I'd gladly pay extra to have it instead of retainers.
