What city/town/village would you most want to live in? And why?

Would be neat to put together a tour/travel guide of Eorzea with descriptions of peoples experiences and/or desires about why they like one place or another with pictures of course.

Quarrymill is really the only answer for me. I'm not a city person; Ul'dah is too warm and I believe the climate of La Noscea is too humid for me (Camp Bronze Lake is totally gorgeous, though).

I'll take the hermit's hut in Outer La Noscea any time. It's nice and quiet, with great mountain views and a private hot spring to boot!

I'd only have to worry about the occasional coeurl or two straying into the property, but that's what Lyland's trusty gun is for.

There's a ton of drama going on there with the slave trade, it's just that it's all been shunted into specific class/job story-lines so if you never do them you've got no idea of how huge a problem it is.

. . . I'd still be living in my FC house at the Mist, though. We've got a really sweet set-up right on the beach, convenient ferry links to both Costa and Limsa and private airships to take us anywhere else. Plus it's close to my fish family.

Hmmmm somewhere near Zenith would be where I'd set up and where I generally am. Though I do need to commit bloody murder on any moogles that stray near but hey gotta eat something and dragons tend to be a bit to chewy for my taste.

Around Camp Outlook or Tailfeather. Great views. Outlook might be a bit humid for my taste, but that scarcely matters when one isn't required not to be sweaty. 1.0 Coerthas, preferably around Clearwater or set up right around the gorge leading to Garuda's aetherflow, would be my absolute favorite though.

Where do you think the Ul'dahn dancing girls come from? There's also Gegeruju and all the tempered buying more slaves for their Primal overlords.

BTW, I'm actually surprisingly partial to the desert and sea, so I'd likely settle in Horizon or Port Vesper. Idyllshire might also be a good city in a year's time. I feel like it has that "Silicon Valley" vibe to it with all the goblins, inventors, and adventurers.

Well, one of those questlines is about a female miqo'te (ex)slave so uhm... presumably the same sorts that buy them today in the USA, UK, and other first world countries.

Even long after it's formally made illegal, trafficking never really goes away.


Anyways, to the OP's question... Bronze Lake or some place in Outer La Noscea. Or, well there's no town/camp but if that wouldn't rule it out... Churning Mists.

I love Limsa Lominsa and I'm a proud Maelstrom member, but for RL living I would go with Gridania. Nice air and temperature because of the forest, beautiful places, waterfalls, huge trees I can climb, chocobo stables... Gridania seems the most confortable and less corrupt city-state too.
