Yeah, I totally support this. It happens so many times that I see the tank AiN and queue as tank but nothing starts then I change healer and it pops instantly.

The reason people don't queue as tanks isn't because they can't queue as multiple jobs, but rather the risk vs. reward isn't worth it. It's stressful as a tank and to motivate people to queue despite that, there need to be rewards to tip the scales of the risk/reward ratio.
I think this feature is a great idea and I would use it for sure, but I don't think in and of itself it will help much with the tank shortage. Players with access to tanks who don't queue as them will keep not queuing as them despite this system, unless there is something to motivate them otherwise.
I would say, if this feature was added, that a role roulette feature also be included, with bonus tomestones rewarded at the end of the duty. This would motivate more of those with tanks to use them, as the extra rewards would be worth the added stress of the role (mind you, the adventurer in need could also be adjusted to do something similar. If it rewarded a good amount of extra tomestones instead of gil, I would tank in duties almost exclusively. As it is now, my mch gets all my time).

Semi-related, but I kind of wish we could queue for multiple roulettes at once >_> as in, queue for trials, expert and high level and get whichever pops first.
Yes, but the role that pop up first will be to 95% a tank. So just queue as a tank will give the same result.No, it's not the same. Like an example I want to Que for a Dungeon as a Tank, DPS, and Healer Role because I can play all this Job. And whatever job in need it will pop, then I will switch to that Job and get me in the Instances.
Right now, for all Contents you can only Que as a Tank, DPS, or Healer. You cannot Que for it as multiple job.
Would definitely want this, don't think it'd be that difficult to implement either besides the HUD.

Exactly, THIS.
Because even if you have the option to chose, 80% of the player will still only list themself as DD to the que.
In WoW:WoD i played Warrior and leveled him from 1-100 as Tank and DD. Well I'd say, 99% of the invites has been as Tank. I could just have let the DD part unchecked, you won't get an invite as DD as long as you have Tank chosen.
Agree with Kathyz, haha. But to queue as multiple job is still necessary for people who don't play tank.
By the way I want to queue while my chocobo is summoned ; ;
But with RIFT you could switch after entering the dungeon. Take the support role, support was not needed in 5 mans, in fact it made the run slower and harder. So you queued as support and instantly switched to a DPS soul after entering. You were expected to.
I wouldn't be against it but I also don't see it picking up the wait time cus those who do not wish to tank will just not tick the tank option, myself included. We have no incentive really at the risk of being yelled at or made fun of, even kicked for a simple mistake. At least as a dps/healer a mistake is not as noticeable.
I agree that just adding the system to choose a class to enter as wouldn't be enough, but a Role Roulette would probably make it worth it, and that Roulette would give an additional bonus for going. Like for example it becomes a checkmark on Levelling Roulette and you get a bonus of tomes AND XP no matter what class and dungeon is chosen (even if it's not a level-cap class, which is the usual requirement) OR by doing Role Roulette, you'd get an experience reward on all similar unlocked classes (so say I queue in and I get in as my Level 60 WHM for say a trial roulette. Because I still need to level SCH and AST, I'd get a token amount of XP for those roles as well.) Probably wouldn't be so simple to implement and balance, but something like that would be awesome... I hate having to choose between advancing end game and levelling, particularly with the Relic steps... I'd much prefer to being able to level up an alt class while also progressing with end game stuff - even if they do it at a reduced rate from using your main class.
