You don't need a parser, you have access to this board. Go to DPS board, and look up your Role.
You will see optimal rotations and ideas for rotations. All kind of people talking about it.

Reading guides on rotation suggestions doesn't tell you anything about how you're actually performing in real time in a dungeon/raid setting.

Researching and collecting information is one thing, putting it into practice is something else entirely. There are also quite a few fights that require adjustments to your rotation or rely on adapting to situations - all different from what you typically see on "how to play x" guides.

It also doesn't help you if you're not the one who's underperforming. You could be the best player in the world but that won't help you much if someone else decides to ignore half of their rotation.

One of the reasons why I'm baffled at why they're going for a half-assed "solution" by going for the Dummy Parser is a very close variation to this.

Let's take for example a BLM fully decked out in Esoterics Gear who can do a whopping 1.5k DPS on a dummy.

Now the BLM goes into a dungeon and gets called out by someone using a 3rd party parser which shows that the BLM is underperforming (whether on purpose or because they aren't used to the fight).

BLM goes on to quote Dummy Parse numbers which are pretty irrelevant to the situation at hand in which the damage the BLM is dealing might not be as high as he thinks it could be.

The difference between a good dps and an exceptional one is being able to dish out the same or close to the same amount of DPS as their Dummy Parses when they are doing mechanics/dodging.

A dummy parser alone will not be able to do that.

There is no official parser for PC or Playstation so asking for the same treatment for PS4 players isn't accurate. Those using 3rd party software are technically breaking the TOS. I'm all for personal parsers and for the option to opt out of a group parser if that is the choice of the individual.

Haven't seen anyone banned ONLY for having used a parser. Have seen many banned for HARASSMENT though.

I didn't say anything about banning someone but it's clear that they are unofficial and against the terms of service. Whether or not someone has been banned or not I can't say. That is up to SE to enforce and not me given I certainly don't work for SE and am not privy to that type of information.
