If this has any semblance of how the community is, a public parser would actually REDUCE harassment, especially from the underperforming players towards the players pushing themselves and screwing up simply because they had no choice but to put in their 100% to compensate for the underperformer and messed up 1 mechanic.[/QOUTE]

OMG IM SO SORRY im half awake and read that all wrong and apologies im posting on my ps3 so editing is slow as hell. ; ; i no mean to be rude -lalapouts-

A differnce in playstyle is not harrassment, but is a kickable reason THAT a get. I also have read this stuff time and time again since the first parse in WoW.

Let me fix what i meant, some players DO think "underperforming" Aka not playing to another self made expectations is harrassment.

What i take from ts is a groups of playing (the ones who witch hunt "underperforming" players) enforce their playstyle and mindset on others, going as far as name calling etc. Having a parse does not reduce this harrassment. Nor does it reduce what you claim is harssment. Parse will not make people care any more less.

And it is partly your fault for using df for such things as Alexs nm or random pf groups for primals. I've been gaming for 27 years so I know this shi perfectly.

It sucks when you can't beat content, but to witch hunt "bad" players is THE WRONG WAY TO DEAL WITH IT. You at much fault for not communicating.

reason I came off rude (more like upset) Is i was subjected to this type of behavior I was a level 23 gla in halatali, I'm relearning how to play the class after 6mths of not playing tank. I told my group i was still getting the hang of it, and the healer was trying to make me mass pull mobs, using "its just halatali" as an excuse, this whm abd our groups smn kept pre casting mobs before i had a chance to pull and "accidently" pulling mobs on me. Which smn chimed in that it was gonna be a long dungeon. All that happen with in the first 1min of the dungeon and i only pulled the second set of mobs.

After being tired of the healer attitude, and him not understanding i wasn't ready (or felt i could) mass pull i said he sucked as a healer (refering to pushing me into something i wasm't ready for) he said oi sucked as a tank and that if i'm struggling in halatali i should quit the game.

    To everyone else:

And again you are just much as at fault for choosing to play the game with random players. Nothing is stoping you from meeting people who share your ideals/playstyle and time frame and playing with them.

You CANNOT force people to learn, and you should NEVER judge a person if their are different then you. We have enough of that judgmental shi going on in the real world we don't need it in a game.

    again my apologies on the mistake, and now i go pout cuz i feel like an asshole ; ;

    also @ chif

why do you need numbers to prove that you are doing well?

I played every single job in this game from 1-15, pld, brd, whm smn sch drg to 50 drk ast smn sch to 60. I ran smn ast and sch through Alex nm, i ran drk ast smn through bzmark ex. I couldn't clear bzmark ex as tank cuiz i suck at tank swapping (so my faulyt on that) and over all groups i pf'ed would hear me out as a leader so i pretty much gave up (my fault on that too) but with alex nm i one shot each turn as a healer, and no one complained about my smn.

You don't need to see numbers to try to improve, just have the will to and ask for tips and experiment. If you reaed the tool tips, you find out stuff is self explinitory.

    I don't (nor can i ) use a parser and i play ps3. I constently strive to improve.

    @ sirDarts.

    I'm sorry i don't speak parse. What?

You may have missed the memo, but all roles are equaly subjected in playing their role. I'm sorry but some random made up number from a user created tool as a "do this or you fail" is really the wrong way to go about stuff. Also DF use is player opinion not fact.

I'm sorry but idk hows long you have been playing ff14, mmo or video games as a whole but what you just said really just made you come off like a complete tool.

I judge all roles equally, I will kick players if they are undergeared for the content, the rest comes with experience, its a complete "duh"in that two people playing the same job will have different dps, based on various factors. Which do include experience with the content.

what you said pretty much reminded me why i hate the massachusetts board of education, it has a similar mindset of what you just stated with the requirement for graduation, which is to pass the mcas test. think of it as all student need to parse 300 to pass, and all student are given the same test, and must get 300 to graduate.

now with as much fault as what you said, here in lies the fault of such a broad judgment to graduate, not all student are the same, some are good test takers some are not, some have learning disabilities, some don't. Just because you don't pass doesn't mean you fail as a student. I have failed said test twice (due to learning disability) though i'm an A/B student.

as with the mcas example not all players play the same way, not everyone has the same net speed, gear, level of experience with content. So making a judment call on some broad (and partly made up) number subject people to a pass or fail is just idiotic.
And DF was designed for solo players or players who play at weord times to find groups, its not the end all way to do content. If your not finding df groups playing to your mindset meet players who do share it, and play with them. Its how i met my boyfriend.
