this reminds me of acts of domestic terrorism that cause a ton of collateral damage to the environment when those who performed the acts were trying to make a point about saving the environment
you basically are causing the same damage you outcry against in order to make a point
This is a game. It should be bound by rules set by the developers with the intent of being balanced, fair and enjoyable. If developers give us the tools to do something, and it is intended, then it should be used to the best ability of all players in the game.this reminds me of acts of domestic terrorism that cause a ton of collateral damage to the environment when those who performed the acts were trying to make a point about saving the environment

My issue with the system is that they went overboard.
No more, no less.
People putting words in my mouth need to stop.
If you are referring to me among them, I never misquoted you I merely liken what you and your folks did to real life analogues. For my experience, it is never effective to create an example to prove a point when the point causes damage. The techniques you outlined are now explicit and can be searched and used by anyone, where before they may have only been implicitly known by a few which would have helped keep the process isolated. You may have very well shined enough light on this by creating your own example, and you may well have a good point that powerleveling needs adjusting, but the extreme nature of the example may bring an extreme response which may not be warranted for the reality of the situation.This is a game. You'd have to be an idiot I guess not to have taken advantage of guildleve group for really very little effort (less effort I think than being powerleveled to 40 and doing stronghold to 50) to rank 50 in all classes pre- 1.18 (I mean unless you weren't playing this should have been an easy task for anyone playing ever reset).
You'd have to be an IDIOT for not taking advantage of the initial XP system to get your mages to 50 in the first couple of months.
You'd have to be an IDIOT to not have soloed Archer to 50 on Coblyns before they were nerfed.
People are such idiots... Arrrrrrrrrrrgh.
The issue isn't whether or not DocMog decided to PL their friends, or get PLed. The CORE issue is that the option is there, which, as Mog has said, will be exploited while it's there. It's not a matter of "don't do it because you're a better person", it's a matter of "get it out of the game/tweak it so people can't exploit it, get tired of the game, and leave."
I don't care if they leave in PLing, just don't make it SO obviously broken, and deny the fact that it is a broken mechanic is blind optimism at best.

Insulting people in the counter argument isn't going to change their minds. It will make them stick harder to their opinion regardless of whether or not it's right, and think less of your opinion simply because you insulted them. In essence, if you want to try and change someone's mind, come up with a well thought-out response and don't be a dick.

There are intelligent people on the planet!
Leave it, SE is making this game only for few month, they dont plan to last for years. That is why they want all ppl get to 50 fast and finish little end game stuff and then every one left . Im glad i decide to leave game be4 that. Screw the dev
The idea of getting a job quickly ranked up in 1 week is really appealing. That would've been a nice way to get some "Subjobs" level'd for some skills. But even if SE implemented this System and gave their OK.. in my eyes it's just wrong ><;
I dunno if SE wants to push a lot of ppl to R50 so they can develop their content around these ranks and ignore low lvl stuff.. or.. making the SPing overall easier. Well now it is.. easier...
I hope they'll have a look onto that "problem" soon. They just need a better system which works for everyone.
I'm playing MMORPG's for fun and interesting character development. At the moment we don't have such development. We getting our Skills per Auto-Ding. Stats are still somewhat screwed (I know these will change with 1.20 or 1.21)... Moar Skills from Quests/Missions pwease ;;
Oh and of course.. the R1-50 in 1 week or less :P
Imagine playing FF8 and having all those G.F.'s from start! (swoooooosh!)
Seriously Why?
how is a thread that brings up a serious issue dumb? By letting everyone level so easy they are essentially ruining this games future since new players will come into a game where its hard to level, and where everyone else has all jobs at 50. They won't get into good endgame shells and they will quit.
Its like every patch SE screws something serious up and hurts this games future.
