Any info where the new EU data center's will be located?

Has there been any news where the location of the new EU data center's will be? I know SE has an some kind of building in England but not sure if they would put the servers there

Speculation is it won't be in Germany due to some kind of conflict with MMOs. Chances are highest it'll be in the Netherlands, but there's also a chance of it being in Dublin and maybe even London because that's where their EU HQ is oddly so they'll have the staff on hand

Myself I'm hoping its Dublin or London as I live in the UK

I'm not sure how the connections go from Dublin to the rest of Europe, but wouldn't that be a pretty bad place for a server? I mean, Germany, Netherland or even France would be much more central of Europe, and it would give better connections overall. London is a much better choice then. Then again, Montreal isn't ideal either... I just hope they have learned.

As for EU HQs... That doesn't matter, cause you don't pick servers close to where you have staff (well you can, but not because of that reason). SE's staff would not be able to do anything with the servers themselves anyways. All they can do, is done remotely.

It is kinda weird that by Tuesday we're gonna be playing on real EU servers, and we don't know anything about it... I'm guessing we will have to find out ourselves in the game.

Yeah, i can't think of any "major" MMO's that use dublin, but it does have data centres so it's a possibility, i mean, it can't make it any worse right?

And i totally forgot about France tbh, but i agree with you on server placement, closer to central Europe is better overall, but then again it might not be that simple. Who knows, all we can do is wait

Yeah it's gonna feel weird, i'd really like to know where the servers are tbh, preferably an IP i can ping too either way looking forward to having a lower latency!
