Is it possible the red scrip system can be removed or completely reworked? It's more of a hassle and annoyance than a rewarding system for those who enjoy gathering and crafting.

What exactly is the team's plan and direction with item levels on armor? Heavensward launched with Bismark EX's weapons being invalidated-on-arrival much like Ramuh's rewards back in ARR; and is generally accepted to be glamour-only and most players do not even want to return to the fight and rather focus on Ravana. What made it worse was that Tomestone of Law weapons were also a higher item level than Bismark's, and ridiculously easier to obtain. New gear and weapons feel like they are being immediately overshadowed by yet another set in subsequent patches at a fairly quick pace.
Right now the item level situation is this.
Moment 3.0 hit and we get to level 60.
Law gear item level 170.
Enhanced law gear item level 180.
Extream primals Bismark 175. Ravana 190.
Alexander normal item level 190 lock out each week takes about 2 months to get a full set to be item level 190 maybe less if you just get the leg tokens once a week for a month alongside the chest token. PS. It was a bad design idea to add gear progression to normal story mode.
Eso tomestones gear item level 200.
enhanced Eso item level 210.
Alexander savage item level 210.
Gear progression once you hit 60 right now is at 50 item levels. In 2.0 it was 30.
You even made 1 selection of weapons right useless Bismark weapons which I'm thankfull for by the way since the whole fight is just a Steps of Fate with a shorter enrage timer.
But the gear progression has become ridicules since you will just add higher item levels.
Now my question after you review all the above.
Why can't you consider adding horizontal progression to the game it seams like you could add more content every patch if you just stop taking the time to add new gear that will be replaced 2 patches right?
Ps. Sorry for the long post but I think it needed explaining why higher item level progression is bad.

I'm enjoying my 2 different healing jobs having 2 separate glamour sets thanks to Esoteric-level Job-specific-armor. However, I know this will be a temporary luxury; newer item level armor will likely be shared amongst all jobs of the same role (tanks, healers, casters, and ranged). Is there any plans to allow two completely different jobs using the same gear to have separate glamours?
Or at the very least, are there plans to release more armor in the future that are locked to specific jobs rather than entire roles?
Why are Restorative Item Cooldowns so high? They've been completely useless in my overall experience (at any level) because of it.
Many players feel that a huge issue with FFXIV is the lack of "gear lust." There is no extremely rare gear that makes players say "WOW! I WANT that!" and have players flock over to check out someone wearing a very rare piece. Is this something that will ever be addressed or considered?
Have you ever considered adding more gear options for more "horizontal" gear progression? For example, having gear that enhances certain abilities or traits would be really cool.
Can you tell my retainer to stop bringing me low level fish? Thanks!
I liked the idea of the recent community contest where players can design a hairstyle and have the dev team implement it into the game. There are also past examples where players have had the chance to design items that also were implemented into to the game, such as the meteor survivor and aetheryte rings. How do you feel about letting the community design things and having it implemented into the game ? Would you like to see more of this, or do you think it's better to leave designing content to the dev team ?
Personally I think we have a very creative community of players, and I'd like to see these sorts of events on a more regular basis.
FFXIV is a highly multi-class/multi-job game, which is awesome. However the very strict weekly limits on Esoterics and other gear as well are completely against that system.
It makes it impossible for raiders to properly gear more than 1 job on a character, which leads to no flexibility in raiding and just getting bored more quickly.
Any plans to change that?
Will the Sharlayan armors be available for dyeing? I would love to make my Pathmaker coat red but its limited to Tanking classes.
